A new material

Raw Human - the name alone suggests notes of plasma, calcium, iron and hemoglobin.

Its juice, otherwise, suggests a sweet little invention that has me stratching my head over and over.

To me, its mainly composed of very ripe beta-carotene-heavy fruit (apricots, papaya, greengage, persimmom) made into a pulp, pits and all, and flattened out into a sheet.

Later this sheet is left to dry in a chamber alongside other new vegetable hides: banana leaf leather, coconut leather, pineapple rinds leather.

It is as vegan as a leather can be.

Has a value of novelty and playfulness, like the bright future of a new unique manufacture that will employ several families in a small town.

It isnt a beast performer but rather a nicely wafting, arms-length radiator.

So this is: the only cruelty here seems to be the name and the picture on the bottle.

Fragrance Experience at Maximum??

Since I am really not a big fan of leather scents, I became very curious when looking at the fragrance pyramid of "Raw Human | Lattafa Pride."
A scent that is marketed as a MEN'S fragrance??
To be honest, I don't quite agree with that.

The fruity notes in the top note sing a completely different tune. Starting fruity, sweet, soft, and really minimalistic. The plum is the most noticeable, which remains present throughout the entire fragrance experience. And that really lasts until the end!!

The Osmanthus flower ensures that the leather/apricot notes come forward. They are so well balanced that you don't really perceive the leather.
Because it really stays in the background and, in my opinion, adds an extra portion of AHA.

It holds the scent in a soft, fruity, and simultaneously bitter way.

In the end, frankincense enters the dance floor. And it feels balsamic, soft, and smooth.

In the end, a delicious compote remains, which also projects really well on the skin and very well on clothing.

And so the fragrance experience comes to an end.
Thanks to the good coordination of the listed ingredients, I would describe this scent as a good, bold, and "try something new" fragrance that fits perfectly into the upcoming season :)
I would even go so far as to say that it is really suitable for the slightly older crowd.
(But everyone should wear what they want and what they like)

Why is no one talking about this fragrance? It's a mystery to me.
It doesn't always have to be loud, extremely sweet, or fresh. Minimalistic can also be good.

Packaging, craftsmanship really 1AAA

I’ll be honest: even I didn’t wear it right after my purchase. I simply let myself be misled and demotivated because it received poor ratings on various platforms. This is probably also the reason why it’s currently on sale everywhere (a little hint!). But then came the surprise with the first spray: what a fantastic cozy leather scent!

The opening is admittedly a bit harsh, synthetic, and sweet. However, this synthetic note fades quickly, and a sweet leather emerges that remains perceptible for a long time (more on that shortly). The apricot/plum gives it the sweetness it needs so that the leather doesn’t overwhelm you. Although many describe it as “too sweet,” I believe this actually makes it feel balanced. The interplay of these two components works and is extremely pleasant throughout the entire wear.

The sillage is strong for two hours, then diminishes somewhat and is only moderate after four hours. However, that doesn’t matter because it lasts all day. Although it becomes a bit weaker outwardly, I can still smell it well throughout the day.

Raw Human, a name that seems a bit odd in the context of a perfume, is a strong and sweet leather scent that is suitable for anyone who wants to venture into this theme. Sweet, apricot-like, leathery, and great to wear!

A Refined Whiff of Mystique

To evaluate a fragrance, you first need to have it under your nose. Critiques or praises from other perfume enthusiasts only help to pique curiosity. It was this curiosity that led me to blindly trade for this rather potent "Rough Man." Now, having tested it for the third time, I find myself increasingly drawn into this quite complex combination.
There was no need for "heroic courage" - not even with the first "Pfft"... just wait a bit - sniffing and smelling at regular intervals. It has turned out that this perfume is a small mystical mystery that plays with scent notes that seem SO incompatible. Yet, in the end, they do fit together - and with a lot of finesse!
Admittedly, the initial phase is intense, as everything sharp and harsh swirls around. But this subsides after a very short time - the scent calms down and reveals itself step by step.
Bright apricots and dark plums intertwine with very spicy pepper, which then absorbs slightly bitter-floral aromas that are also somewhat powdery. This likely comes from "Osmanthus," of which I previously had no knowledge of its scent.
Slowly but surely, resinous-green, almost pine-like scents creep in, built close to the forest. Or even deep within it. Only from here can I also catch a whiff of the "leather note," which is derived from inky birch tar. And a good portion of incense that hovers like fine mist over dark earth.
And everything that came before in terms of scents cleverly binds itself into this mystical mélange. Oscillating, sometimes delicate, sometimes rough - sometimes dark to gloomy - then again "shady" to fruity-bright.
Analyzing all of this in detail may be reserved for professional perfumers, but I find this refined mystery truly fantastic!

Fruit Meets Soft Leather

The Lattafa Pride line is truly a fantastic range, where you pay a bit more than usual but still make a really good catch. All the fragrances I have tested from this line so far have a lot of quality, and they justify this small extra cost. The recommended retail price for most is 40€ for 100ml, which is still absolutely fair. Recently arrived at my place is the Raw Human, which is not quite as hyped as, for example, the Art of Arabia line or Vintage Radio, Nebras, and Eternal Oud. Nevertheless, it’s definitely worth testing if you like leathery-sweet fragrances. In mild temperatures, this one performs really well in my opinion and fits into the list of cozy leather scents. Listed as a similar fragrance here is "Ombré Leather (2018) (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford." Roughly, this soft leathery note does capture the scent profile, but it is noticeably fruitier at the start.

Listed as a men's fragrance, women can also easily grab this one. Specifically, these fruity notes make this scent very unisex-friendly. The leather is also very mild and doesn’t lean towards that leather jacket direction.
The packaging is once again quite voluminous and, in this case, rather trashy. The bottle also looks quite trashy. It’s hard to say what the title Raw Human and the image on the bottle are supposed to express; visually, at least, it’s not really my thing. However, the content is good, the bottle is heavy and solid, and the sprayer works flawlessly.

As for the scent, it is a leather fragrance with fruity notes in the first hours. Leather dominates throughout the entire duration and is, of course, still active in the base. The leather is very soft and pleasing and doesn’t only have to appeal to leather fans. The mix of plum and apricot is very well done and harmonizes beautifully with the leather. There’s also a subtly peppery spice present. Later, a pleasant osmanthus note comes in, which contributes to a soft overall impression. The base then becomes more balsamic, and styrax comes through nicely, providing a relaxing vibe. Subtly smoky notes also emerge, which fit wonderfully with this sweet leather. Overall, it’s very pleasing, and it doesn’t need to hide from fragrances like Ombre Leather. For this price, it makes a high-quality impression. I particularly enjoy this top note with the fruity component. The base is also very pleasant and has nothing bothersome about it.
Performance is in a pleasant range. Sillage is in the medium range, making it quite suitable for everyday wear. The longevity is also absolutely fine, with a minimum of 7-8 hours.

Overall, Lattafa has done a really great job again. Those who like fragrances like Ombre Leather will find a great alternative here, even if it is by no means a scent twin. You can get this for under 30€, which is already a great deal.
