Rose and glossy leather

This little marvel from Memo is a perfect example of how to command attention without effort or indiscreet loudness. The faintest whiff has a high level of "smell me again". This is due to the bright and uplifting top notes in combination with a unique rose-leather.

French Leather features a lovely rosy opening. Lots of citrus and juniper in the top notes give a long-lasting lift effect. The rose gets sweeter over time, while the leather base comes through relatively late. We are talking a smooth type of leather here, glossy and close to vinyl. Slowly this gets a little more fuzzy and suede-like.

I like how relatively common notes like rose and leather are put together in such a way that it is still unique. The result is sophisticated but not complicated. A true picker-upper that I love to wear on evenings where my presence should not go unnoticed.

Wrapped in compliments

I fell in love with “French leather” when my friend used it in combination with “Intense cafe” by Montale. It was such intense experience. Such a familiar notes, but in complicated interpretation. I got myself both, because I’m literally addicted to them. If you want to get “WoW!” effect, it is such a brilliant compliment getter.

Suede jacket

Actually, I just wanted to write a statement. But then the image in my head took over and became too long and too detailed.

Fragrances always take me on a journey, to the most diverse places.

After spraying on "Cuirs Nomades - French Leather (Eau de Parfum) | Memo Paris", I sit in the shade of a cedar tree in the French botanical garden with my slightly too large sunglasses and watch the hustle and bustle around me.
The fringes of my brown suede jacket are blowing in the wind, sending the scent of sage and juniper from the herb garden next to me. In my hand is a homemade limeade (not too sweet, but tangy and refreshing).

The wind dies down a little, now I notice the roses growing close to me. My jacket hugs me warmly and softly. I am at peace with myself and the world around me for a brief moment.

I found French leather because I was looking for a leathery-floral fragrance that wasn't so heavy and where neither the flower nor the leather dominated, but where both harmonized together. What can I say except: found it!
