Not just for winter!

A beautiful vanilla/citrus blend with a dash of tea. I actually don't find Winter Palace similar to any other tea scent. I don't even perceive tea as the most dominant note here.

Instead I get Xerjoff Lira vibes from the orange and vanilla combination, just without the cinnamon and caramel, but with a transparent, warm read tea instead. In the opening it also smells quite fizzy, a bit like a carbonated soda, but in a sophisticated way. The drydown is warmer and sweeter. Vanilla becomes the strongest note on my skin and the ambery, balsamic notes support its warmth. I still get tea, lemon and orange notes, too, so the overall impression is not too heavy, there is a certain transparency about the blend that I really appreciate.

Despite the name I find this not that wintery. Sure, it's more of a winter than a summer perfume, but the combination of warm and fresh note makes it versatile.

I love this scent, it's really cozy without being smothering. Just very balanced and beautiful, a true feel-good scent.

Silk Winter Dragon in Vanilla Clouds!

The first whiff of this scent made my eyes roll back in my head!

It's a delicious citrusy/sweet/balsamic/spicy/musky composition, never veering into cleaning product territory at all, that slowly develops into a little story on your skin!

In the top notes I get a tasty realistic orange, accompanied by the other citrus fruits and the tea notes already peaking through.

Warming up the balsamic notes start transforming the scent into something very cuddly and comforting, the vanilla starting it's seductive blossoming!

All the notes are now shifting back and forth, sometimes more citrus and tea, sometimes more balsamic and sweet, like a soft silk shawl flowing around you.

In the dry down the musk and resins properly peak through the veil and transform the scent into something intimate.
Slightly spicy, musky, vanilla, very well rounded and not the typical melange you would expect, because the tea notes cling on and uplift.

To me this composition is special, creative and timeless!

Winter *Orange

I saw this mentioned as a tea fragrance on reddit and had an internal "I NEED TO TRY THIS", the bottle also looked magnificent so I went on allegro and got a sample.

It came in my mail and like a little kid I went and sprayed it on my hand and I was surprised, where's the tea? Never mind, it's just not prominent in the opening and im not very familiar with RED tea. It's a nice blast of orange and something soft and creamy, maybe the resins and vanilla. Very beautiful, not worth a full bottle for me but its a must sniff for sure.

An intriguing, sinuous dragon drifting through the skies

I've heard of Winter Palace ever since I started collecting perfumes since I've always been on the lookout for tea fragrances. I was especially hyped when I finally got my hands on a sample of it through a discounter website I've been using recently.

This fragrance is all about complexity and layers of notes blending together. It constantly shifts and evolves on the skin like an asian dragon sinuously flying through the sky. At the start, I get a nice blast of fresh and light citrus fruits. I also get some spiciness and some herbal-ness from the red tea. It's somewhere between green and black tea. The spiciness doesn't make it to masculine territory (I usually associate most spices with men's fragrances). It oddly reminded me of "Casamorati - Lira (Eau de Parfum) | XerJoff" without the bakery part and the caramel note. As it moves on, the spices seem to expand for a while before retreating in the shadows. I end up getting some waxy, resinous accord I'm assuming comes from the balsam and / or the amber. It gets warmer with time as the spices also return (this time a bit more subdued). The drydown becomes this sweet, dry and almost powdery vanilla with a hint of spiciness and some fruitiness.

It's a very unusual fragrance to my nose and it took some time to get used to. It has started to grow on me as I've tested it again a few times. Since I already have a green and a black tea in my collection, adding a red tea would round off my tea fragrances (and the bottle is absolutely stunning). I have thus decided to go for a full bottle!

A beautiful Winter Tea Scent

This is a beautiful, Fall/Winter scent, that is so cozy. I wear it with Kayali Vanilla 28 and a sweet, sensual, and citrus scent. It's expensive, but I get my money's worth out of it. In the end, I highly recommend this scent. Tea fragrances are so underrated, and it's a shame. The other tea fragrance I highly recommend is African Roobolis by Chris Collins.
