Stutter Granada so you get it to last twice as long ...
Could there be some light, at long last, at the end of the Memo tunnel?
Perhaps.
To be fair, this is a pretty safe composition, but the result is rather charming, if not groundbreaking, but then again, not all perfumes can be.

The opening is fresh, acidulated and zingy, reminiscent of the excitement one would feel when meeting face to face with a polar bear for the first time.
My nose tells me that the experience is taking place at a safe distance indeed, since I can report that it’s a sweet joy with no indoles.

The head notes are quickly mislaid and pushed aside by Ms Jasmine, who, like a frigid woman (It’s freaking cold in the North Pole after all) melting under the gentle, attentive, and experienced caresses of her lover lets herself be transported by the warm and comforting envelop of a cosy and dreamy moment.

Nice … If you’re a fan of Ms J. of course.

For Jasmine Lovers
By far the sexiest fragrance on the planet centered around jasmine. Somewhat of a fusion between YSL Libre Eau de Parfum and Thierry Mugler Alien, only niche and much more realistic. Granada doesn't hesitate to impress with an explosion of heady white florals dancing on a warm, sweet base of vanilla and tonka. Uber feminine and provocative. Granada deserves the attention of jasmine lovers.

Nectar for a summery haze...
Orange blossom is definitely the main note here, but it's not your average orange blossom.
Even though it starts out quite clean, floral and refreshing, even a bit like Nivea or similar body creams, an unlisted honey and grenadine add a lot of sweetness to the scent. Don't mistake this for a regular old pomegranate note, it smells distinctly like sweet grenadine syrup.
Honey is not my easiest note, it sometimes turns too dirty on my skin, but this is a clean honey that other fragrance lovers with the same problem don't have to worry about. I mean it's not officially listed anyways, but I smell it.
A hint of vanillic heliotrope further sweetens the fragrance. It really has a nectar-like aura, I would not be surprised if it attracted butterflies and hummingbirds.
In the drydown the texture turns more powdery, but never too dry. A little bit like powdered sugar, but in a sophisticated way.

If you like sweet scents on hot days, this is perfect for summer. Not for running around in a sweaty, hectic city, but for lazing in the sun. On Holidays, a balmy evening outside or just a relaxed afternoon on the balcony, Granada would amplify the mood.
I tried this in the beginning of spring an liked it, but today, with 27°C outside, I love it. It shines on warm skin.

When jasmine and orange blossom became partners
Forget about all the other notes here, jasmine and orange blossom are undoubtedly the stars of this fragrance. I get an evanescent note of tart pomegrenate, but it's so subtle and subdued that in a blink of an eye it has disappeared. Instead, I get a very beautiful jasmine that unfurls right before my nose. I'm usually not the greatest fan of floral-forward fragrances, but I'm tempted to go for a full bottle with this one because the notes resonate so well on my skin. Jasmine is well-balanced. Creamy, floral, fresh with the subtlest hint of animalic. It has some sweetness and a fruity facet (that may be coming from the fruits in the top notes). No powderiness, no overwhelming aspect, everything is pure, clear and sophisticated. Weirdly enough, it's the orange blossom that comes through in the drydown. Orange blossom starts creeping in slowly and the transition between the two flowers is smooth and easy. When orange blossom finally unfurls, I get the sweetness, the freshness and the green, soapy aspect. It's just like smelling a bouquet of freshly picked orange blossom. Just like the jasmine, everything is well-blended.

I love how jasmine and orange blossom have been partnered in this fragrance and I love how it's effortless and sophisticated, while maintaining a pure, clean vibe. Thing is, the price is pretty high for a fragrance that sticks close to the skin, so deciding on a full bottle or not was challenging to me. I realised I love Memo Paris, but I don't want to accumulate fragrances from a house just because which is why I'd go for a travel size if it was available and not a full bottle.

Flowerpot on a metal tray
So Granada, Spain. Must be hot, a bit crowded, mixing something historical and new together. Of course it must be also vivid.

I tested first the fragrance itself, now that I have begun writing this review, I took a look at the town on the Internet, and it is hard to describe, how unfathomably differs the impressiveness of the place and the fragrance.

GRANADA – first pops out melon from the crowd of interesting notes. LIAISONS DANGEREUSES (Kilian) is the nearest simile to the nice and strong heliotrope of the heart. Molten vanille. If one made a nuclear reactor from vanille and it would burnt out, I bet it would have the same pretentious scent. I fell in love, and after that... jasmine kicks in. I almost scrub that agressive flower down, but something weird happens.

A metallic note cuts down the buds of the jasmine, all the tiny-shiny innocent flowers with the evil and strangling odor, and the whole creature smells like a bunch of flower on hot metal. After the ribald opening, GRANADA settles down, the lush girl turns to be a lady. The cold night is overlying on the town after the hot daytime. Being fond of metallic scents - that is a perfect base for me.

GRANADA is for you, if you
- like heat;
- are girl of woman (of any age);
- like sweet perfumes;
- can wear jasmine and strong fragrances;
- look for adventures;
- are not afraid of metallic notes.

GRANADA is not for you, if you
- like perfumes with citrus;
- are boy or man (of any age);
- like fruitty perfumes, something that is easy to wear;
- tested Liaisons Dangereuses, and disliked it;
- are searching a perfume for daily wear or for business occasions;
- think that metals should stay in the kitchen, and must not occupy your fragrance wardrobe.

Sophisticated, pure creamy, floral jasmine fragrance. The drydown is a beautiful, green and fresh orange blossom. Very lovely floral frag.

Almost vanilla-sugar sweet, the heliotrope-powdery jasmine cloud floats in with hints of white flowers, then becomes creamier. Fruits? Nope.

Like the warm breath of summer.
The shift between jasmine and orange blossom with a hint of wood is addictive. Sensual and sexy.

I'm confused by the initial strong urine note that apparently no one else smells. It becomes floral, fruity, not sweet, very pleasant.
