Subtle, smoky and charred woods which drydown soft and comfy
I'm not a woody fragrance girl, so Inverness was a kind of filler fragrance for my custom discovery set, although I was curious about the maté note and how it would interact with the rest of the very obvious woody notes.

Just like Sherwood, Inverness is a more palatable version and interpretation of a woody fragrance. It's got a very beautiful beginning. There's a subtle maté note that offers a tinge of sophistication, although I couldn't pinpoint exactly where it was playing itself out. Woods smell natural at first, but start to feel smoky, slightly charred and smoldering, which was interesting to smell it as it developped on my skin. It sometimes did border on smelling like pencil shavings, but never went over there completely, which is something I truly appreciated. Drydown was interestingly sweet, comfy, cozy and creamy, not unlike You Doux. There was also a slightly powdery aspect. The drydown did feel a bit more feminine than the top and the middle of the fragrance.

I won't be going for a full bottle since I'm not a woody fragrance girl, but I do have to say Memo Paris definitely has something going on here. The drydown was particularly beautiful with its soft, comfy, creamy and slightly powdery vibe. If I was more of a woody type of fragrance, I might have gone for a full bottle just like Sherwood!

Nature and perfume
Inverness is a city of Scotland: surrounded by nature, near Lake Ness, with Cawdor Castle: this beautiful castle, linked to the events of Shakespeare's Macbeth.
A fragrance that in my opinion goes a little outside the olfactory signature of Memo but which I found wonderful: on the other hand the sandalwood / Iris mix could not leave me indifferent.
She is comfortable, warm, delicate, elegant.
It ended up on the wishlist.
Ideal for the colder seasons, a real cuddle with a fairytale character.

Soft woody musks with powdery iris
This smelled good on paper in the store so I got a decant of it; on skin it was a different story. It's a slightly sweet woody/musky scent with powdery iris undertones. The gaiac wood in here reminds me of the accord in Gaiac 10 which isn't a good thing. The iris kind of reminds me of "Apollonia | XerJoff" but I think the iris/musk combo in that fragrance is so much better than here. I really don't get the comparisons to Santal 33 Eau de Parfum or Gris Charnel Eau de Parfum, I don't get any sandalwood or tea notes here. Inverness' (Inverness's?) performance is also terrible, turns into a skin scent right away.

Hach yes
I was so hoping not to like him. I can not afford him, but he is the most beautiful in a long time. Quite gentle freshness, cozy blanket with a view of rough greenery. The mix of peat and warmth, uncomplicated romance and bold clarity, familiarity, reliability, buttery firewood and black tea with milk...I could slap myself for testing it, and then again, I couldn't have chosen better.

Someday, I'll get me a bottle.

From highlands and downpours
Let's get this straight: I love Memo Paris.
I love the idea, I love most of the scents, the bottles are a f**ing dream.
BUT.
And it's a loud, big but.
The last few releases have confused me in a way.
Even with Sherwood, I stood thunderstruck in front of the shelf, panting for help, looking for some kind of uniqueness.
Here I have the same problem.

The cleanliness of the iris butter blends well with the mate. However, the various woods run frantically through the area without finding anywhere to rest.
A woody-fresh-pudriges Kuddelmuddel which seems to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
I measures me now simply times at the Amyris to give the same role as that which Mfk already 10 years ago in one of his fragrances verbaute.
The balsamic sweetness is clearly recognizable, it strikes in exactly the same notch.
But somehow it no longer pulls the rudder around.
I am at a loss and award im the predicate, "Is all right".
Annoying is also that my skin turns him into a sweet-moded horror that I can not possibly do to myself or my environment.
All in all, he is not for me.
I miss the unique selling point and the ingenuity that makes most of Memo's fragrances so special.
He will certainly please many people and find many friends.
I let him times in the waiting loop, maybe I learn to love him yet.

It's an "ultimate" wood fragrance in my opinion; it's not too much, doesn't smell like old wood, smell cedar and sandalwood... rich and love

Clean, creamy and almost slightly sweet santal with gaiac. Quite weak performance for a woody perfume but really nice scent.

Soft, charred and smoky woods with a beautiful maté note. Finishes as a powdery, musky and woody cozy drydown. Beautiful iteration from Memo

Smells exactly like the dry down of Gris Charnel; it's like Gris Charnel but without any cardamom. Incensy, powdery, creamy sandalwood.
