Caramelo Vanilla New Notes 2022

Caramelo Vanilla starts with a blast of smokey, crunchy, burned caramel that quickly falls into a soft bed of vanilla, musk and powder. I usually want my caramel notes to be creamy, so I was a little let down at first that I didn't get any dulce de leche here, even though it's listed as a note. But the way this crunchy caramel is blended with the vanilla and musk made me quickly reconcile with the scent. After a short while it becomes so soft and cozy, like a pink cloud of gourmand goodness and creamy, dreamy white musk. Vanilla, caramel and fluffy musks are my perfume comfort zone, so it's no surprise that I feel relaxed and at home when I smell this.

I don't get frangipani or white florals from this, maybe they support the powdery, fluffy effect of the scent, but they don't stand out.

It is a bit expensive for what it is, so I'm not sure if I really need a bottle, but if one magically appeared in my hands, I would be delighted. Such a cuddly, warm feel-good scent that would lift me up on any cool, gloomy day.

For anyone curious about the Bianco Latte comparison:
This review is a little older (transfered from a certain other perfume site), so I tried this before the Bianco Latte craze and can't say with certainty how similar they are. I remember that this was quite powdery, which I never got from Bianco Latte, and when I first tried Bianco Latte I didn't think of Caramelo Vanilla at all. So my conclusion is that they aren't twins, but might have some more subtle similarities.

At first glance, Caramelo Vanilla seems like just another sweet caramel vanilla perfume. In many ways it is that, but it's a really, really good take on this type of scent. The frangipani is quite strong (though not overwhelming) right in the beginning but it dries down quite quickly into the nicest smokey soft caramel. It's a subtle scent that sits close to the skin and lasts about 3-4 hours on me. While this isn't maybe a powerhouse on it's own, it also layers well with other fragrances and I think, can be a day to night fall/winter scent.

I do really enjoy it alone and think I misjudged it at first glance where I wrote it off as boring. It's versatility is great and this is actually a quiet MVP of the fall season so far.

Based on the hints in the statements, I directly compared Caramelo Vanilla with Madera. Both are very similar for a long time. To begin with: In the "Contemporary Blend Collection - Caramelo Vanilla | New Notes," the name says it all - also in the emphasis on caramel and vanilla.

The newer caramel interpretation from New Notes has a slightly less rounded, darker, pleasantly smoky-dirtier caramel touch, while Madera comes across as somewhat brighter, softer, and more complex; the hint of meadow flower is delicate but adds dimensionality, making it a bit more interesting. But we are talking about minimal differences.

In return, "Contemporary Blend Collection - Caramelo Vanilla | New Notes" has a bit more staying power in both longevity and sillage. Also a hint.

You definitely only need one of the two; when calculated per ml, Madera is minimally "cheaper" and more suited for softer, gentler souls. On the other hand, the fragrance from New Notes has a smoky, slightly cheekier caramel note with a stronger unisex character. I would say that you can confidently orient yourself by the bottles; the one that appeals more should also be more pleasing in content.

Both are beautiful. Only the fine nuances make the difference. I personally can't say exactly which one will win in the end...

Caramelo Vanilla was a half blind buy for me. The tester in the store was empty, and I had no choice but to sniff at the spray head. When the opportunity arose to snag a leftover bottle at the souk, I jumped at it.
Caramelo Vanilla delivers what it promises: caramel and vanilla. A true gourmand, sweet but not too dense and cloyingly sweet. The vanilla comes with a lovely warmth, and the caramel smells sugary sweet with a subtle but not intrusive, cozy "burnt" note. The cotton candy adds an extra sweet kick in the heart, yet the scent remains creamy at all times.
Frangipani and white flowers give the fragrance its "perfume suitability," ensuring that it comes across as a perfume and not as something drenched in milkshake.
In short, a great, sweet, and caramel gourmand that is certainly not a reinvention of the wheel but contains a feel-good factor. The scent lasts well; however, the oil content is so high that the shiny oil film lingers on the skin for a long time.

I love this scent… it smells just like you would imagine a caramel, vanilla fragrance. This warm combination of the two notes creates a cozy atmosphere. Additionally, the intense sweet notes give the fragrance a warm and inviting aura, perfect for cozy winter moments. I also like to wear this scent on dates or when I go to a restaurant with my family.
