Sexual Awakening
"Lux Opulent" is the first Dua fragrance under my nose - and it couldn't have come at a better time! For a long time, I avoided the brand, seeing it as a cheap copier and imitator of great successful scents. I'm not into dupes and the like. But then a few samples from a dear Parfumo came my way, so I could no longer avoid it. And after this test, I don't regret it one bit.
"Lux Opulent" is luxurious and opulent. Oh, what a scent. Announced as a successful "Richwood" knockoff, it presents itself as an orgiastic dream for the nose made of patchouli, vanilla, and creamy sandalwood. This is the perfect fragrance to return to after a long testing hiatus. It awakens the beast in every gourmand lover. And it's even a bit more than just a double of the ridiculously expensive Xerjoffs. "Lux Opulent" is a dream of sand and silk, ceramics kiss cocoa, gold greets gangster grills. One wouldn't want to dare to label it merely as a sandalwood scent. Too much noble stuff swirls through the air. A hint of oud, for the last doubter of its Arabic origin. A lot of musk to keep it airy, smoky, and hazy. This enhances the projection and humanizes the scent as well. And even a fruity-woody component at the beginning, a kind of forest berry, which gives the fragrance the charm of a jam from 1001 Nights. Big cinema.
Bottle: extremely spartan, these Duas.
Sillage: has broad shoulders that make everyone it touches feel frisky.
Longevity: 11 hours and it’s still going strong... the scent, of course. Leaves nothing to be desired.
Conclusion: when a fragrance is this rich, sexy, noble, and fine, one almost overlooks the fact that it actually just wants to be a "Richwood" copy. Yet it wonderfully shoots beyond the mark and lands a sensationally erotic touchdown of eroticism and oriental wealth. Sandalwood & patchouli are having fun here in broad daylight! Keep it up!
