No "Saubär", no "Saubermann" -- Resinous Wood-Lemons!
This is the second "Dua" in my collection. The first one had resin and roses, this one has lemons. But also with woody resins.
Does THAT go together? Oh YES! And HOW it goes together. Here, opposites attract like magnets! The light must go into the dark, the resin to the citrus fruits, the wood of sandalwood and cedars in tow! It fits like a well-fitted backpack, doesn't add bulk, just smells "heavenly." The initial "cleanliness" gets a slight, "dirty" note that raises the question: "Is this a 'wild Watz' or is it a 'Strahlemann' who has gotten a few stains on his freshly washed vest?"
My nose sees or rather smells this as a unit, neither one nor the other. And yet both at the same time in a strikingly wonderful way!
Here, the "cleanliness" of the bergamots and lemons meets their woody-resinous, slightly rugged "dirt spots" that they have caught from resinous tree barks. A slightly green impression emerges, the "yellow" now shines in a dimmed manner and darkens further over time, turning amber and finally light brown. All in all, a scent that I REALLY LIKE.
Not just in summer... it also fits very well in autumn. And it really isn't a "wild one." Just one who knows vehemently what he wants :-))
