Sweet, sharp, semi-nutty blend, nice but not all that nutty
First proper wearing of Creamy Blend of Walnuts, a relatively recent Dua original blend that is part of the Dua Designer Line, an effectively sharp, sweet, nutty, and slightly creamy blend that mostly meets the name, though I definitely regard it as sweet and sharp more than it is nutty, in the hearty sense, so the dominant aspect, for me, is the sweets, though the whole experience calms down from the opening after about an hour of wearing into a more mellow, blended experience of most notes. I think it’s a recommended try for fans of gourmands and nutty fragrances but it’s not overwhelmingly nutty to my nose.
As part of the Dua Designer Line, it’s priced at $33 for 30ml, an outstanding value in the current market, and about half the price of most of the main collection. I love how many original blends are part of the DDL less than a year after it launched, and this certainly adds good diversity to the line. I would enjoy further nutty options, perhaps ones that lean a bit heartier than they are sweet, along the lines of the way that Elixir de Malt Dua is to most sweet boozy fragrances.
