Sour Cola-Cherry Gummy Bears
In search of the best cherry scent, I stumbled upon Raw Cherry as well as Raw Cherry Extreme.

Many will probably know Aaron Terence Hughes from YouTube and his very informative videos about various fragrances. If you've been following his videos for a while, you should notice that this man possesses a wealth of knowledge and skill when it comes to the art of perfumery. For this reason, I was quite interested in his cherry scent.

To spoil a bit: Raw Cherry is definitely among the top 3 best cherry scents I have ever encountered (and I have really tried quite a few up to now). In fact, I can compare this with my other cherry scent, Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum, which has a very fruity, sweet cherry. Rouge Smoking Extrait has a slightly smoky, floral cherry, and Arabian Cherry features a very Maoam-like cherry with spicy woody oud.

Here we have a very liqueur-like cherry that reminds me a lot of those sour cola-cherry gummy bears. The opening smells exactly like they taste.

The cherry remains very dominant throughout the entire duration, but not in an extreme way that would make you only perceive the cherry. The whole fragrance is super well-rounded, nothing stands out that could smell odd.

As it develops, we get more sweetness from the chocolate and vanilla, while it definitely remains cherry-like. The oud also comes through lightly (don't worry, it's a really harmless, pleasant oud). One could actually say that this scent is a crowd pleaser.

So, anyone looking for a good liqueur-like cola-cherry scent will find it here and should definitely give it a try. However, if you're looking for the same DNA but with less cherry and more floral-oud elements, you should reach for Raw Cherry Extreme.

Smoky Cherry in Sparkling Water Next to the Spice Rack
There was a time in spring when I was looking for a smoky cannabis scent. I went from Bad Boy Eau de Toilette to Nocologne.

It was hard for me to find the perfect fragrance, as each one was missing something for me. I was recommended the good Rouge Smoking Extrait, although I had never tested anything from bdK before. Somehow, this brand was never on my radar.

So, I sprayed this fragrance on my skin with great anticipation and let it sit for a while, testing other scents, and occasionally catching a really nice, sweet, slightly cherry scent in my nose. Didn't I ask for a smoky cannabis scent??

Well, that was the case, and I looked up what notes were present in this perfume. To my delight, I saw the cherry... or rather "big princess cherry".

Anyone who knows me knows that my favorite scent note is actually cherry. The different types of cherries that exist... be it a dark, a smoky, a sweet, a sour, and so on.

In this case, we have a slightly sweet, somewhat sour, lightly smoky cherry that is enveloped by vanilla. I like to describe this scent as bubbly, as it tickles the nose lightly like sparkling water that is... sparkling. That's exactly what makes this fragrance stand out; it's something different, something I've never had before.

Spicy and slightly woody notes also play a role in the background, but they are almost completely overshadowed by the aforementioned.

The longevity on my skin is about 6-8 hours, so everything is normal and relaxed. The sillage is also rather normal and not a beast.

I find the bottles from bdK to be simple in design, but they still look really beautiful and high-quality. I would prefer a cutout with the sticker, as that would give the whole thing a little something extra.

Conclusion:

If you are looking for a different, darker, and slightly smoky type of cherry with a bubbly surprise, you are exactly right here. It's definitely worth a test.

Sour Cherry-Maoam Stuck Between Logs
The Arabian Cherry is a Marc Gebauer fragrance that unfortunately existed under my radar until now. When you think of Marc Gebauer fragrances, you immediately think of bomb durability and overwhelming sillage that fills a room and makes it hard to breathe.

*Hust* Yes, I mean you Air Tiger...

Now there are already more than the initial three fragrances:

Orange Flamingo
Air Tiger
Arabian King

Of all the fragrances, only Orange Flamingo had made me buy one so far. It is a really beautiful, fresh summer scent with very good longevity, which was something new at that time.

Then came 2024 with Vendetta, for which I immediately ordered a sample because I really liked the scent notes. I instantly fell in love with the second Marc Gebauer fragrance. A truly lovely everyday scent with very good longevity.

After many not-so-good releases (for me) aka. Private Garden or Cocoon, I lost track of Marc Gebauer. At least, I wasn't really interested in any more of them.

Then came Arabian Cherry. There was almost no buzz about it, unlike all the other fragrances. Normally, many people hype his fragrances, and every influencer makes you aware of them. With "Arabian Cherry | Marc Gebauer," I really didn't hear anything at all.

Then, by chance, I became aware of it while searching for another cherry fragrance. Cherry is, I believe, my favorite all-time scent note, alongside oud, musk, and the very lovely pineapple from Aventus.

Before "Arabian Cherry | Marc Gebauer," I had the following cherry fragrances:

Rouge Smoking Extrait
and
Jump Up and Kiss Me Hedonistic

Absolute 10/10 fragrances where the cherry comes through very well.

From the two, I had a sweet/alcoholic amarena cherry and from the other a slightly smoky, sparkling cherry.

So it was time to look for another type of cherry fragrance, which are really hard to find.

But here we have it, the Arabian Cherry:

Here comes my assessment of this fragrance, divided into minutes after spraying:

At first, you get a strong woody and yes, slightly animalistic oud note, which can come across as unpleasant to some. This is followed by a really delicious sweet Maoam cherry, yes, slightly synthetic, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. (I have no idea why synthetic is immediately hated; it's just a different way of building fragrances).

The animalistic note fades away after a while (I would estimate about 30 minutes) and the fragrance becomes really creamy, woody, and cherry-sweet. The interplay of oud and cherry is very well highlighted here.

The drydown of the perfume itself is the beautiful part. Most people make the mistake of sticking their nose directly onto their skin to smell it. (Normally, a stranger shouldn't do that to you...). Yes, on the skin itself, it smells a bit stronger, but that's nothing new with animalistic oud.

In the end, the fragrance doesn't change much; it just becomes creamier and more pleasant the longer it sits on the skin.

The longevity is really normal and completely sufficient for me. No fragrance MUST last 24 hours on you, and that really doesn't make sense. I get a good 8 hours out of this one, and that's enough for me! This is definitely not an office fragrance that should last that long!

For me, the fragrance is an evening scent, and you are rarely out for that long :)

The sillage is not the strongest according to people I constantly annoy and ask if they can smell my fragrance, as I need an assessment on it.

However, you can smell it consistently during that time. I didn't become nose blind from 5 sprays. That's another positive point.

Conclusion:

A very nice Marc Gebauer fragrance, with NORMAL longevity and sillage, which definitely lands in my TOP 3 Gebauer fragrances.

For anyone who doesn't know this yet, it's worth a test. BUT please don't smell it on a test strip, but directly on your skin and after a few minutes smell the FRAGRANCE TRAIL (wave the sprayed area around to disperse the scent) AND then form an opinion.

That's it from me, I'm going to spray it on now and enjoy it as long as I can :)

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!

Best regards,
Fabian

Honey, Caramel, and Rose Water in Milky/Creamy
First of all, I don't understand why this fragrance is rated so poorly. In my opinion, it is a truly wonderful, unobtrusive, sweet, and creamy rose water scent. The quality is impeccable; it does not smell old-fashioned - like grandma or anything... - or unpleasant.

Due to the intentional absence of alcohol, the liquid has a honey-like consistency and a slightly yellowish color. The bottle is, as one expects from Xerjoff, high-quality and aesthetically pleasing. Another plus is the compatibility of the perfume: I think it's great that it is alcohol-free, making it suitable for allergy sufferers.

The only downside I see concerns the longevity and sillage. Just a few minutes after application, the scent dissipates significantly and loses intensity. Even waving my hand does not unfortunately spread any scent molecules into the air. On the skin, the fragrance lasts about 4-5 hours, but for the price, this is not sufficient for me despite the excellent composition.

Therefore, I give the fragrance a 9, but longevity and sillage only a 6.

Permanent Penetration of the Olfactory Buds... in a Beautiful Way?!!
Some time ago, I became aware of "Megamare | Orto Parisi," as it was always on everyone's lips for its longevity as an aquatic fragrance.
Back then, I was still relatively new to the game and was eager to get a sample/repackaging of it. So, I searched every Douglas store in vain and gave up.

Not long ago, I ordered a sample here and eagerly awaited the mail. When it finally arrived, I had the scent under my nose within 5 seconds, and I was shocked...

Simply shocked...

Shocked by how good this fragrance is...

Now I wanted to know, and it became my life’s mission to test all Orto Parisi fragrances. So, I went to every perfumery I knew and asked for this brand. To no avail...

But then I was drawn to Breuninger in Stuttgart. Eagerly, I asked if there were any Orto Parisi fragrances to test... and lo and behold, all the bottles lined up next to each other.

Of course, I had previously read the reviews and statements about these fragrances with anticipation. I was most curious about "Stercus | Orto Parisi."

I went from bottle to bottle... some better, some worse. Then it was time for "Stercus | Orto Parisi." The staff member sprayed the scent on a test strip... I was blown away... I looked at her and said, "I don’t understand why some people say it smells like feces... disgusting."

I asked her to spray the scent on my skin before I would take it home directly.
She sprayed it on my upper arm twice... and there it was... a stench... it smelled animalistic... disgusting... get rid of it!

Of course, I left it on and waited... not long passed - maybe 5-10 minutes - and a heavenly, cinnamon-like scent infused with clove emerged, reminding me of a wooden house in the Middle Ages, dusty, OLD, damp...

This beautiful scent accompanied me the ENTIRE DAY and continuously penetrated my olfactory buds...

Now Stercus sits on my wish list, and I am waiting for the colder seasons to get this one.

Ciao
