Delicate white floral fragrances y’all recommend? 0

Hello all!

I’ve done quite the fragrance journey after a few years of sampling and trying out different perfumes. I thought I was a niche babe, I am not. I thought I was an oriental and amber babe, I apparently am not. I was really hoping to be a dark fragrance babe, but nooo. I am not it, no matter how hard I tried.

I have come full circle this year, as I am only wearing the perfumes from my youth and early twenties. And someone finally put into words what it is that I actually like: white florals that are more on the delicate, transparent and lighter side! The ones I’ve been wearing lately are the following: Eden1881 pour Femme (1995) Eau de ToiletteLaura Eau de ParfumPur Désir de Lavande . Also 724 Eau de Parfum and occasionally White Patchouli

Based on the above mentioned fragrances, what would you recommend me? Both vintage and newer ones are welcome.

Thanks

I'm kind of on the opposite side of the white floral spectrum from you but I can definitely recommend a few.

Néroli Oranger I found to be a very clean and faithful recreation of orange blossom.

Olyssia Light and pretty, also orange blossom focused. More soapy than Néroli Oranger.

Fox in the Flowerbed Very fresh, dewy jasmine bush (leaves included).

White Tea and Ange ou Démon Le Secret Eau de Parfum If you're okay with some fruit too, both are very pretty and clear.

Thank you! Lovely suggestions. I’ll see if I can get some samples of them. 🙂

I just bought Jardins de Bagatelle Eau de Parfum and I find it very lovely, a bit abstract (but I believe Eden is a bit abstract too?) huge sillage, but I don't find it loud or sultry (some do though). Could be a bit too green for you but some find it more flowery...so...I'd think: sample first.

If you like Jasmin, I can recommend Gelsomini di Capri Eau de Parfum A very TRUE jasmin and lovely in spring and summer (Carthusia is a bit niche, but...Smile), Very beautyful and lovely scent.

Thank you, @Ringtale ! This is somehow a new chapter in my fragrance journey, so I don’t really know what I think of green notes in floral fragrances.😆 but I’m curious nonetheless! I’ll try out your suggestions! Do you think that Fidji (2003) Eau de Toilette might fit this category too? Or is it more bold compared to the lighter and more delicate fragrances that I use?

Hi @Rojabird, I can't imagine someone not liking Fidji (2003) Eau de Toilette actually. It's lovely! I prefer the EDP (I used to think I liked the EDT better and I like the brightness of that one more maybe, but I love some sillage 😉and the EDP has better sillage if I remember it well) but they are both lovely and longevity of EDT is fine. I sprayed it yesterday before going to bed and could stil smell it this morning. And very affordable to give it a try I think.

But then....If you appear to like Fidji....you're up to the next level and really should try L'Air du Temps Eau de Parfum (or edt)....so beautyful. Didn't mention both because they are not distinct white flowers like you asked for...But lovely!

Coach (2016) Eau de Toilette is an airy floral, but also a bit watery.

J'adore Parfum d'Eau is a fresh floral with a bit of creaminess.

Starfruit & White Flowers is a delicate floral. The starfruit is not too pronounced, but if you don't like any fruit at all, skip.

Inflorescence A greener white floral. A little soapy.

Lucky Eau de Parfum Another green lily of the valley, but still pretty fresh and not super intense.

Sweet Jasmine This one was too light for me, but still pretty.

Jour d'Hermès Eau de Parfum is a very transparent, floral bouquet. it is a mixed and citrusy white floral to my nose ( i think there is also a little rhubarb but I honestly am not familiar with it).

Jour d'Hermès Absolu is more of a gardenia take on the original. i think both could be worth trying.

+ Pure Poison is a sharp orange blossom and jasmine scent.

Ah yes! They seem to have a more oumpfh to them.😆 I don’t know why I suddenly thought of Fidji, it just popped up in my mind. Might try it out in the near future then🤔

Jardin de l'Orangerie

I recently got it and have been thoroughly enjoying it! Keep in mind I don't own a lot of prominent floral perfumes so this may not be "unique" to those who have smelled a lot of orange blossom perfumes.

And another beautiful milky, sweet, white floral is Blanche Bête

Both scents are delicate

Hi, @StarMajesty ! Thanks for asking. It’s a lot of sampling and I don’t have all recommended perfumes in my home city. So I order a couple every month. It’s a slow process😁
