realistic basement/musty smell, or woody like an attic?

This might be super specific but I've been on the search for a realistic scent that is either musty and wet, like a basement, or woody and dusty, like an attic. I have a friend who has pretty specific tastes in perfumes and I've been trying to search for something that they may like. They do like just normal sweet or fruity things, but this one perfume is their favorite cause they said it smells like "grandma's attic". It smells kinda like candied rosehips or jammy rose, so that's another thing to consider. Anyone have any reccs?

I'd suggest "Bois d'Argent | Dior" and L'orpheline. Bois d'argent smells like vaguely powdery and smoky, and just a bit damp. Very close to a smoke machine smell, reminds me of a haunted house. L'orpheline has that similar vibe but a bit more powdery and soapy.

To my nose Wild Country Freedom smells exactly how you described. It's very affordable but also original at the same time.

For musty wet basement smell plus some other notes, I'd go with  Cellar by Solstice Scents! It absolutely gives musty/wet in an underground storage way. Somehow it still manages to be wearable too.

I always find Le Lion de Chanel smelling like a dusty old attic. In a good way though.

I've heard that Dustsceawung is a very good basement smell. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I might be getting a sample soon!

To me Hermann à mes Côtés me Paraissait une Ombre doesn't smell like an attic, but it has both damp and rosy facets, so it might be a good contender for what they're looking for.

They might also want to try layering another fragrance with a Demeter, like Mildew Cologne or Dust Cologne .

Which perfume is their favourite one? The grandma's attic/candied rosehips one.

Your question reminds me of Good Luck which was meant to evoke old books/dusty attic but which also was a super limited edition as part of an art project.

Maybe Une Touche de Naf Naf Eau de Toilette , but i fear that may also be discontinued.
