"Tangy rhubarb," which turned out to be the most un-tangy rhubarb I know
Tangy Rhubarb, so tangy rhubarb. However, I don't find the naming particularly accurate in this case: the fragrance is not really tangy. At least not compared to "Zara Emotions N°09 - Jo's Rhubarb | Zara" or Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate. "Pierre Hermé - Pamplemousse Rhubarb | L'Occitane en Provence" also ranks up there. These are far more citrusy in the prelude and bring the sour, what rhubarb in the raw state to inherent, very well to the point.
Tangy Rhubarb goes a slightly different way, possibly because the limited edition, in the context of which it was released, is supposed to be based on jam? (That's probably why the bottles, which are quite different from the usual Jo Malone design and which I really do not find so successful. But, tastes are different. The sprayer works properly, after all, and that's actually the important thing.)
The fragrance starts slightly fruity, for my nose, however, floral notes predominate, but I can not exactly make out what is actually so exactly mixed in. The fragrance is not at all sweet, but rather green. On my skin, it then develops slightly creamy, but does not go through a great development, the cedar wood, for example, I do not perceive at all. The sage, however, provides a pleasant balance and prevents the slightly present fruitiness of the rhubarb from dominating. The Composotion is quite coherent, if one is not guided by the name.
The durability is unfortunately not particularly outstanding, after 4 hours, the fragrance is only skin close to perceive. Also, he is not a sillage monster, surrounds the wearer (for me, the fragrance is pretty clearly feminine) but like a delicate veil. No fragrance for autumn and winter, for it lacks any cuddliness, but a nice everyday companion in spring and summer.
And would I recommend him now? Quite, if you like rather light, fresh fragrances that get along without a hint of citrus and not too great expectations of durability and sillage has. For the special zing, it can also be very good with Elderflower Cordial layerm, whereby it becomes a little sweeter and the creaminess is still somewhat reinforced.
