Even more crunchy caramel on your warm milk
Eclaire is a close dupe for Giardini di Toscana Bianco Latte. Many Lattafa scents aren't that similar to their inspiration, some don't seem to be dupes at all. But this definitely is one, and it was confusing to test both of them and to compare them. Sometimes the notes cancel each other out when you smell the two fragrances right after another. It took me a while to come to my final verdict about them.
Both smell like glass of warm milk with caramel to me. Quite edible, very intriguing, and more on the simple than the complex site of perfumery.
They also both have an unlisted phantom coconut note to my nose, the original more so than the dupe. In turn, the caramel is stronger and feels crunchier in Eclaire. I prefer caramel over coconut, so I like this more! In the drydown the whole scent gets creamier with a touch of honey and a very warming vanilla. To me, Eclaire smells a little more honeyed than Bianco Latte, and I think I can sense the added white florals, too. The difference are really miniscule though.
This is a sweet, nostalgic fragrance that feels like a cozy cream colored sweater in olfactory form. Some people complain it comes across synthetic, and honestly, it's not the most natural smelling fragrance on earth - but neither is the original. I don't mind. These fragrances transport a specific feeling that wouldn't be the same if they tried to be all natural and sophisticated.
Bianco Latte might be a bit overpriced for what it is. Eclaire usually isn't. Now that it's so hyped and sold out often, some sellers considerably jack up the prices. If you see this for 80€ and more, please just wait it out and don't support those practices. This has no business costing more than 45-50€.
