Masa Lattafa Perfumes

Angenehm, in Wahrheit gute Qualität der Zutaten und eine anständige Mischung, 80% Ähnlichkeit mit Ganymed. Ich warte auf das heiße Wetter. Ich denke, erst dann wird er sein volles Potenzial entfalten. In gewisser Weise erinnert er mich wegen des Safrans an Lalique Encre Noire Indigo, obwohl Masa tragbarer ist. Ich assoziiere ihn nicht mit einer Arztpraxis oder ähnlichem, aber das erste, was mir in den Sinn kam, war der Moment, als ich als Kind bei voller Sonne und dreißig Grad den Morskie Oko erklomm, der Asphalt dampfte, der noch nass vom warmen Regen war, und nach einer sehr langen Überquerung wurde ich von einer kühlen Brise Wasser aus eben diesem See begrüßt, und zu all dem fügte jemand ziemlich gute Mango und Ingwer hinzu.
Dauerte 10h auf meiner Haut, Projektion auf Armlänge, oder ich wurde nasenblind erwischt.

Unisex version of Ganymede

Intoxicating and Addictive! It opens up with a blast of lemons and aquatic notes, then leans towards spiciness and omg, the dry down? Delicious! This is Ganymede blended into a perfectly unisex experience. Mineral elements mixed with suede and mango for some deliciousness. Damn! This is so good; so rich; so irresistible. I got the 20ml bottle and I doubt I’ll run through my bottle in the next year because it’s quite potent and I love it!!!

AN ADDICTIVE MASTERPIECE

Let me start by saying that Lattafa has improved a lot over the years. The quality of their new pride series(Masa and Vintage radio in particular) are unreal, and the oil concentration is crazy. If you see this fragrance going for $100, It's still VERY much okay to get it.

Masa means diamond in Arabic. And it is a befitting name for a fragrance that copies Ganymede. I have sampled it just once—last month—& damn... Just damn. To describe the smell is actually difficult, just like Masa. Masa is a twist. Mango plays an important role here. You might miss it if you don't pay attention. It's beautifully blended.

The opening has fruits, mixed with suede. Sometimes I catch the citrus, other times I smell the mango(especially when smelling from the atomizer). It's a very seductive opening that leads to a salty, saffronic and spicy base. That dry down will somehow remind you of the saffron from BR540. Very familiar, yet way different.

Tbh, something in the fragrance smells otherworldly. Why I say that is cos of how this at times depicts the smell of wet white rocks. Each time you smell this, you're reminded of something abstract, but can't wrap your head on what it actually is. Maybe I'll just leave it at the name. It was named Diamond for a reason, yeah? Maybe Diamond should've smelt this way!

The accords I get from Lattafa Masa includes:
Shredded/magazine paper vibes, wet white rock, saffron and suede, fruits, Tuscan leather feels, a shoe boutique, etc.

Longevity is EXTRATERRESTRIAL. 15hrs+ on my skin with 2 sprays. The sprayer spritz in short bursts, which I suppose was done on purpose.
Projection is great too. It's very easy to go nose-blind to this one, but trust me, it's still present. It's totally unisex, but leans more masculine. Also perfect for all weather, imo.

Final rating: 9.8/10!

I just can't wait for the coming Lattafa releases. I just hope they keep putting out this type of amazing quality for less. I also wish they could focus a little more on daring fragrance from the likes of Zoologist and Imaginary authors.

A gentleman's sweet signature

I understand that Masa is being described as a Ganymede/Bois Imperial dupe, but to my nose the resemblance is only a slight familiarity. I don't think this is a substitute or emulator for those, and I don't mean this in a negative way, but quite the opposite. It is an original perfume, with personality and above all very pleasant. Like many Arabic perfumes, it has an opening that can be annoying, very saffron-like, metallic and with a burning sensation, which lasts only a couple of minutes, you can perceive some leather and then it settles into a super pleasant fruity sweetness, with a metallic and woody aftertaste that distantly reminds of Bois Imperial, but with a very prominent sweetness although not exaggerated. It is an excellent signature fragrance, with a versatility that few have and, in addition, it is a perfume that goes well under the radar of the mainstream.

Spend the extra $10 and get Khanjar

I sampled both this and Lattafa's Niche Emarati Khanjar recently on a trip to Miami. I was absolutely blown away by Khanjar and bought several bottles. I went back to the shop a few days later and saw they had Masa as well (both are purported Ganymede dupes). Masa smells awful in comparison. Rough synthetic opening with something like pimento or paprika at the to that completely clashes with the rest of the fragrance. There is also a fruitiness in this that smells so off against the patchouli and leather. The notes aren't as well blended as Khanjar and this just smells like a rough draft in comparison. Just get Khanjar, you will thank me later.

I can't comment on longevity. I scrubbed this the first chance I had.
