Not my style

Ambra struck me as nothing really special, certainly not the type of fragrance that I prefer. After the initial trademark AdP citrus opening (which is always nice), it melts down into a smooth, creamy, floral nondescript soft scent. Leans feminine rather than unisex. Longevity is quite good - got at least 10 hours out of it with only average sillage and projection. Tried it from a sample. Not my style.

It is black as night...

... and beautiful. I mean the bottle.

The scent starts with a citrusy bitter note. This quickly disappears and is replaced by pepper, even though it is not listed in the fragrance pyramid. Even when woody notes and musk with amber join later, a strong pepper note remains on my skin. I personally really like it.

The scent is a strongly masculine fragrance.

I envision a man who is out and about in jeans and leather. And we must not forget the muscle shirt from which the chest hair is peeking out.

The longevity is good for Aqua di Parma, and the sillage is reasonable.

This fragrance is definitely interesting for anyone who enjoys strong spiciness.

We don't need to discuss the price with this brand.

Could have been so beautiful…

The fragrance opens citrusy, with the signature of Acqua di Parma.

Unfortunately, a known weakness of the brand is also evident here. After about 30 minutes, nothing remains of the top note; it nearly completely dissipates and leaves no lasting impression. (At least, that's my issue that I always have with ADP. Citrus disappears almost immediately...)

The amber itself lasts about 12 hours on my skin, but it always stays close to the skin. The scent is thus just a quiet companion, only noticeable when one consciously seeks it out.

In summary: not a bad scent, quite high-quality and pleasantly composed, but no performance. A fragrance that is simply too expensive for how little you can smell it.

Great and Fleeting

ADP Ambra indulges me with a very elegant, warm, and cultivated scent profile.

The fragrance feels high-quality, well-groomed, and subtly luxurious.

It is perfect for a stylish evening - whether it's a nice dinner or a relaxed nightcap at a bar. However, in this time frame, only the music plays. After 3 to 4 hours, it becomes quiet or even silent.

The longevity is the clear weak point. That's a shame, especially since the scent character is so successful. For long evenings or nights, the performance is not sufficient for me without reapplying - and I simply don't like to reapply.

However, anyone who can live with the below-average longevity and is instead looking for a fine, classic, and very tasteful fragrance for selected occasions will still find joy in it.
