Leather Acqua di Parma 2019 Eau de Parfum

First of all this is my first cologne from Acqua di parma brand and they really surprised me with this perfume, it was a blind buy, i was searching for a more interesting "ombre leather" type fragrance and i found it. For me, this is the perfect leather with moderate performance. What can i expect more ? I was searching a little for their methods of "building" a perfume and found out they kept the old tradition with blending ingredients. Just bought it today and i just ordered another bottle of 100 ml. This is the first time i'm so happy with a blind buy and i have a very nice collection of 50+ perfumes (35 + niche only).

About the smell: Smoky leather and fresh citrus fruits ... that's it! It's so simple, fragrances don't need to be complicated :)

The only inconvenience on this is that doesn't last too much on skin ... or at least on my skin, it lasts about 5 hours and after that remains only a shadow of it.

This is a masculine scent, but as a woman, I am obsessed with how this smells on me, especially when layered with a lighter floral fragrance with an animalic note. Gorgeous in winter with leather and cashmere. However, on my skin the fragrance disappears very abruptly after 4-5 hours. The sillage is insane, some people might not like the fragrance, on women or men. I think they are weak. This is a strong statement fragrance, warm and comforting through the herbal and woody notes, and the fresh opening stops it from being immediately too cloying. Highly recommend, but if you are planning to be out all day take a wee purse spray or apply it to a scarf or cardigan so the fragrance can continue to radiate.

I'm a fan of ADP for many reasons but get very disappointed by their performance when it comes to fragrances. So when they started making EDP rather than Cologne I was very excited.
Particularly a combo of Colonia mixed with Leather. Leather fragrances are my passion.
Now you are not going to like this review but I have to be honest. I am testing the original release from 2019, which has a different bottle from the one showing above.
The opening reminds me of fragrances like Versace Dreamer. Although the notes are completely different it smells of a posh gents toilet.
The leather is very well done and is on a par with Clive Christian - C or Tuscan Leather but the floral background smells very white floral but I see none listed in the notes. I do not like a urine smelling perfume.
I was really expecting colonia mixed with a smooth leather and got half of that. It also disappears off my skin in 3 hours which makes me wonder what EDP concentration is this?. I was excited to try this and will try again but so far a bit of a disappointment.

Acqua di Parma Leather EdP is a clean, masculine leather fragrance. Regardless of the listed notes, I get immediate leather and essentially nothing else in the opening. The far dry down has a little woody scent appearing in addition to the leather. This is strictly a clean leather. Not a hint of band aid smell and does not come across as strongly animalic. Overall leather scent is smooth, clean and classy. Seems pretty versatile; would work for formal or casual wear, any time of day, and day of the year outside of very hot days. I have not tested any of the Tom Ford leathers, but will be doing so soon. Should be interesting to compare. Longevity good - about 8 hours for me with decent sillage and projection the first hour, becoming a closer scent bubble after that.

You can bash me out with critics, but... how can anybody like this BBQ fragrance in the world of perfumes?

Buy in your local grocery store a smoke sauce spray for the chicken wings. I bet you won't tell the difference! C'mon, Acqua di Parma.... you can do it much better than this!

If humanity really believes this is a good scent, we are cooked (with the chicken wings smoke sauce spray, per say)....
