Very nice fresh pina coloda, green tropical holiday mix
Akro Rise is a 2023 release and a very pleasant tropical vacation/holiday-inspired blend featuring a pina colada prominence of pineapple and coconut water over a floral bed, with a sort of dewy, green quality throughout that makes it seem quite natural, a sort of enhanced pleasantness by the whole blend not feeling too forced or synthetic or excessive in any particular way, Overall, a really nice perfume that does effectively conjure a tropical escape—it’s transportive and fun, and I could very easily see myself wearing it on such an occasion, or pretty much any time, really.
Rise feels like a logical companion to other great recent tropical blends, like Day Three Fragrances Bani and RDZ Parfums El Coqui. It performs decently well, also, certainly above average for a more warm-weather-leaning type of blend.
Akro is now sold through a number of US retailers, which now recently includes Perfumology, at pricing that I’ve deemed fairly reasonable for years, now $185 for 100ml in EDP concentration, only up slightly from $160 a few years back.
