The
Lune Féline Extrait is the extrait version of the
Lune Féline Eau de Parfum and not only has the fragrance oil content been increased to 30%, but more depth and complexity have also been embedded in the fragrance. A sensual, opulent composition with a truly surprisingly exciting DNA.
How would I describe
Lune Féline Extrait?
- The opening is definitely more daring; a combination of exciting sweet spiciness characterized by cinnamon and cardamom. A subtle freshness comes through, which is very exciting; and even if the notes hardly differ from the EDP, the opening is more opulent and powerful.
- Then comes the centerpiece; the seductive interplay of balsamic and vanilla. The vanilla is infused with a beautiful, smoky depth that is also somehow dark and gives the
Lune Féline Extrait its unmistakable gourmand quality without drifting into the sweetness; I suspect that the styrax with the vanilla also produces this slightly smoky feeling here. The balsamic-green accents together with the woody accords act as a counterpoint here and give the fragrance a creamy, velvety texture and prevent it from drifting into absolute sweetness
- This balsamic vanilla is also intensified in the drydown, as the Peru balsam produces a sweet, cinnamon-like vanilla feeling. However, the vanilla is not only balsamic, but also slightly floral. In contrast to the EDP, however, the ambery aura is much more prominent; the ambergris appeared earlier, but only subtly, in the drydown I have the feeling that the ambergris comes more to the fore and almost produces an animalic touch with the heavily dosed musk; for me it is definitely slightly animalic, I suspect that "normal people" perceive it as clearly animalic, as my nose is used to animalic by now.
- The longevity of the fragrance is very good, definitely in the upper third; the projection also leaves nothing to be desired in the first few hours; the fragrance projects really well.
All in all, a successful release with a "niche" impact that should go down very well in the community. I find the Elixir much more exciting because the notes are more "extreme", edgier and more intense.
