Beautiful Holidays in Mediterranean Places
Hey folks, welcome to my new fragrance commentary. Today, I'm talking about a brand that I really got to know only a few years ago and which I now find quite lovely. Of course, I must admit that I started exploring more from this brand, Berdoues, because of just one fragrance. The reason is almost childish… but I’ll tell you anyway, since I can’t surprise you anymore and you probably expect everything from me, right? And no, this time it’s not about breasts or anything… sigh… what do people always think of me... :D
Anyway, you probably know one thing about me well: NO! Not that I constantly complain about you ladies. And not that I’m single. And no, I’m not talking about my cat, Star Wars, or comics (wow, you actually know quite a lot about me…!). No no, you do know that I really like tea fragrances. Therefore, I’m still on the hunt for the latest tea scents (or tea fragrances in general that I don’t know yet) and at some point, I came across the tea fragrance “Assam of India” from Berdoues, which not only had a beautiful and very authentic, albeit somewhat simple tea scent, but also came in a wonderful bottle featuring countless colorful elephants! Isn’t that great? Just look at the bottle, it has all these colorful elephants on it, it looks simply amazing; if I were a woman, I would even say it’s super cute, well, if you ladies say that sort of thing :DD
So, I just had to try all the other Berdoues fragrances over time, and now I’ve arrived at “Croisière: Capri,” which also features a beautiful motif inside the bottle, but more on that in the bottle description. Besides that, I like citrus fragrances, so let’s see how this scent is and whether it’s worth keeping in mind for next summer.
After a while, the first cedarwood notes come through, giving the scent a slightly more masculine feel. In the background, the fragrance has a slightly clean note, not necessarily soapy, but still somehow radiating a nice cleanliness, like a fresh shower in summer. This is probably due to the cedarwood and maybe just makes me think that way, as I often use a cedar-scented shower gel when showering. Overall, that’s about it, as this scent is also quite simple and straightforward, but it smells rather nice.
Thus, here you actually only smell oranges and cedarwood, but everything is quite authentic and nicely done (meaning, without the scent later becoming synthetic or cloying), so that you can smell quite pleasant even on brutally hot summer days, both for yourself and for others nearby. If you’re looking for simple, nice summer or holiday scents, you should definitely keep this fragrance in mind and test it next summer. All you have to like are citrus scents. What most apparently don’t like, because you’re all crazy, ha ha ha, I just can’t manage to write a comment without insulting everyone here, it’s a miracle that I still have subscribers here… :D
Oh yes, I wrote that the scent would seem a bit more masculine due to the cedar, but it’s not that extreme, so I would still stick to the unisex designation, especially since the scent, as described, starts to smell a bit softer in the base.
So, that’s it again, and yes, have a nice evening, see you later :)

Besides that, I like citrus fragrances, so let’s see how this scent is and whether it’s worth keeping in mind for next summer.
The Scent:
The scent starts with very nice orange notes and tart lemons, making it very fresh. In my opinion, the oranges smell of both the flesh and a bit of the slightly bitter peel. By the way, the orange is the more intense note, as the lemons are less pronounced. But that doesn’t matter, as the oranges are still citrusy and tart, and the scent comes across as very fresh. After a while, the first cedarwood notes come through, giving the scent a slightly more masculine feel. In the background, the fragrance has a slightly clean note, not necessarily soapy, but still somehow radiating a nice cleanliness, like a fresh shower in summer. The Sillage and Longevity:
Unfortunately, the sillage is rather weak, although at least due to the cedarwood, it doesn’t disappear too quickly. Therefore, the longevity is at least mediocre, and the scent doesn’t fade like pure citrus fragrances after less than two hours, but rather lasts about four, maybe even five hours on the skin. The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular, tall, and has rounded edges. A beautiful motif of a Mediterranean-looking holiday destination has been placed on the inner wall of the bottle, which looks very nice and evokes thoughts of a lovely vacation, which is very fitting for the scent. I really like the bottle. Conclusion:
Okay, I really liked the scent, but I must first say that one shouldn’t expect anything complex or extraordinary here. Most Berdoues fragrances are quite simple scents with few notes and usually radiate what you would expect from their fragrance names. Thus, here you actually only smell oranges and cedarwood, but everything is quite authentic and nicely done (meaning, without the scent later becoming synthetic or cloying), so that you can smell quite pleasant even on brutally hot summer days, both for yourself and for others nearby.
