Bali? Well. Vacation? Definitely!
After my vacation in Bali this winter, this fragrance needed only its name to motivate me to purchase a sample. I briefly skimmed through the fragrance pyramid and thought to myself, "That sounds good!" So, I did it; a few days later, the Souk was in my mailbox, and the testing could begin.
Right after spraying, a beautiful lemon surrounds me, surprisingly natural. Fortunately, there is no "bathroom cleaner vibe" here, as I have experienced with other lemon fragrances in this price range.
This lovely citrus freshness lasts for a while and is then quite subdued by the vetiver, becoming noticeably less fruity, resulting in a harmonious, soft blend.
Accordingly, longevity and sillage are not outstanding. If you apply the fragrance in the morning, you already feel the need to reapply by lunchtime. At first, the scent shares its sparkling freshness with others and conveys that vacation feeling. However, this fades relatively quickly and becomes more intimate.
Conclusion:
Although I do not associate the scent with the beautiful tropical island despite its name, it rather transports me to the Mediterranean (also nice there ;D). However, you definitely get vacation vibes in a bottle here - and at a really decent price. An overall good package for a quick freshness kick, definitely a recommendation to give it a try.
