Black Cologne
The Black Collection Boadiceas was created for the Russian market. This not only drastically limits the availability, but also the chances of getting the scent under your nose at all. Grace starts off wonderfully cologn(e)ig, with a perfectly balanced mix of citrus, lavender and clary sage. Here it skilfully bypasses an exuberant soap note, which nevertheless occasionally blows in discreetly - supported by the Petitgrain.
As a reference to the name, I would choose here grace and charm as appropriate translation and subject. This fragrance is not only in line with classic colognes, but also has something very modern, almost cosmopolitan about it. I always experience something similar - from the mood - when wearing Creeds Spice and Wood. A shimmer, without a flat loudness. Noticeable presence. Authenticity.
Yes, this fragrance also requires a certain self-confidence when worn. And maturity. I see him reading newspapers in the coffee house as well as having a formal dinner. It always fits as long as its wearer feels comfortable with it. Yes, I see the fragrance in the unisex segment actually very far in the male sector. At least the first two hours.
Then - slowly - the almost vintage-like basic mood of a cologne is released and the fragrance opens to a warm, soft base. More and more Tonka and Vanilla with their own sweetness catch the shimmering Cologne tips and combine to a woody-fresh world of fragrance. It is beautiful how skillfully the Neroli "saves" the discreet citric into the hours 3+. Because here the scent changes more and more. Becomes softer and much more unisex. The wooden chords begin to shine. The citric withdraws increasingly to a slight bitter orange chord.
In his performance, this Boacdicea is also beyond all doubt. The last two sprayers from my rehearsal are completely sufficient to fragrance me for the day. equivalent to a stroke from the bottle. You should avoid considerably more than two sprayers (from the bottle) for the office. For occasions in large rooms or outdoors, a third sprayer would safely work as well.
