Somehow it's boring...
The association mentioned in the title came to me when I first smelled Gypsy Water. I took some time with a sample to test it more closely, but unfortunately, my initial impression continued that Gypsy Water is boring for me, now to explain why. The first reason is that I can find this bergamot, amber, vanilla combination much better executed in other perfumes: Nishane Ambra Calabria, Mfk Aqua Vitae, etc., often with significantly better performance. Unfortunately, I can only smell four notes throughout the entire development of Gypsy Water: bergamot, vanilla, amber, and lemon. I can't detect the other notes at all, which was a bit disappointing. I unfortunately have the typical problem here that I've had with all Byredos so far. The perfumes are not bad, but somehow they are too boring for me and sometimes too similar to each other, which always prevents me from purchasing a bottle, as there simply aren't enough points in favor of a purchase for me.
