Intimate Vetiver
Every now and then I go on a hunt for Vetiver scents because I love the note in its many different types and forms. In this masterpiece that was crafted by Perfumer
Juliette Karagueuzoglou. The more I wear this fragrance the more I realise that I am enjoying it. Paradise Vetiver opens up with juicy citruses accompanied by pink pepper which gives this fragrance a classic ,fresh and spicy touch that I am fond of. The cardamom here is slightly sweet and gently making its spicy presence felt but I also feel it's zesty as it merges with the top notes creating a clean character with a flowery feel as neroli giving us a sparkling crisp feel. I am trying hard to pick up the nutmeg but I am not sure I am getting it as I expected but maybe my nose is blind to it on this particular fragrance. The Vetiver in here is just too beautiful for me to put into words it's given the fragrance an elegantly woody feel it's like an anchor to a ship which keeps it grounded as it reaches the shore. It gives me sense of calm,
Lastly the Vetiver is accompanied with a beautiful companion guaiac wood which is also not over powering but which I feel gives this fragrance a good endurance in terms of it's longevity.
The overall scent is nothing ground breaking as such and that's not to take anything away from it. But the way it's blended its captivating. I find Paradise Vertiver to be more exciting than Issey Vetiver which I have recently tried and wasn't happy with the performance or the presence of Vetiver in it. This can be worn by both male and female but I must say its bit more masculine leaning on my nose, it can be worn at anytime of the day but I found it to be best performing on sunny days, afternoon, gloomy weather and rainy day.
The projection is not so loud but it's descent and sometimes that's enough and maybe that's the reason why I ended up with this scent it's because I wanted to wear something that's not overpowering on my nose but that's also good and that can last through my working hours that you could pick up should you be in a close distance.4 to 6 sprays take me through the day,I like the whiffs I get after a long day at work as it remains close to my skin. This stays on my shelf, in this fragrance my Vetiver expectations were meet even though I didn't expect much , I am sure I will be getting another should I get way too much on the sprays.
