BBW's Cucumber Melon 2.0

This is the grown-up "laundry version" of Cucumber Melon Eau de Toilette - minus the sweet melon. It's very neutral-green, watery, ozonic, "cool", with just a hint of clean laundry detergent.

Poor sillage, mostly just a personal scent bubble. For me it was a forgettable blend - but it might be a good one if you need something subtle like in a doctor's office, at work, etc.

Somehow outdated

Smells like freshly showered, but unfortunately with cheap drugstore shower gel from the late 90s. I feel mentally transported back to my teenage years, testing the shower gel variations in front of the Schlecker shelf, while next to me the latest emo fashion is being discussed and the haircut is celebrated that covers half of a sad face. A bit of mint, a hint of melon, but nothing exciting.

Somehow artificial

This is my second time testing this fragrance, but even the second time I find Rain to be super artificial and I absolutely cannot make any mental connection to rain.
At most, maybe to showering; I had a shower gel as a teenager that had an olfactory similarity to Rain (but that is not meant as a positive point here). Somehow I feel sticky and have the impression of only smelling chemically sweet when I wear the fragrance. I wouldn't say that the scent is bad, but for me, it is absolutely nothing; moreover, it remains relatively the same throughout.

Rain - or something similar...

What Clean has done well: The humid, aquatic aspect. The scent actually reminds me of rain. Just like the muggy air charged with water molecules after a heavy summer rain. Melon, mint, and water lily are easily detectable, but I can't pick up on any wood. All in all, a good start.

What doesn't quite work this time: After the opening, nothing else happens. The scent doesn't develop anywhere. At least not for me. As I sprayed it on, it still smells the same two hours later. And that's too overpowering. 'Rain' practically jumps at you, claws into you, and lingers permanently in your nose. I simply imagine something much more subtle under 'rain'.

Additionally, I somehow feel reminded of aftershave, somewhat in the direction of Cool Water by Davidoff.

Conclusion: It doesn't quite ignite for me and unfortunately gets on my nerves with prolonged wear.
