Romance under the stars
Who does not know them, these balmy early summer nights that May and June often have in store for us?
The first warm days with sunshine and full of flowers awaken the joy of life.
These evenings are mild and promise much more than just the approach of summer.
They tempt to the eternal game, where no one knows how it may end this time.
Fortunately there are still dreamy places in parks or enchanted gardens; those places of longing that whisper so mysteriously and lure so softly at nightfall.
The scent of flowers that still seem delicate, and perhaps for that very reason so fragrant, perfumes the air; the individual blossoms almost all seem to be asleep after a sunny day.
But not all: jasmine and lily, like all white-flowered plants, are crepuscular and therefore exude their floral-spicy aromas especially generously during these hours.
So it is also in this dream place, to which Fragonard takes us with "Étoile du Sud".
Not only the flower-heavy jasmine, but also ever so summery cheerful ylang-ylang lovingly entwine trellises and gazebos. This creates a special fragrance melange of seductive opulence, which marries with the smile of such a summer night.
Lilies and the little lilies of the valley sing together a fragrant serenade, mingling with soft music sounding from somewhere, inviting you to dance: just two, three flirtatious steps and a turn ...
The hyacinths hum along in their half-sleep; they still have so much warmth stored up that they, too, give their spicy floral scents to this enchanting moment.
All that is missing is the melting song of a nightingale and the idyll under a velvety sky studded with many stars is complete.
A magic carpet of fragrance was woven here.
Not from elaborately exotic plants, spices and spices; the house of Fragonard artfully falls back as always on what decorates every garden and park in early summer with blooms and what we unfortunately so often pass by carelessly.
Perhaps that is why "Étoile du Sud" contains so much original beauty and romance, which delights and makes you dream.
"Étoile du Sud" is thus an inconspicuous flacon, in which fairy tales sleep, until they are awakened to life by spraying; no eternally long stories, only summer night stands.
Awakened so perhaps also the prince, who slumbers this time instead of the princess still blissfully and will certainly not be a frog.
It's worth a try ...
