A fine jasmine
For a while I tried to find a jasmine which is not shouting and loud like the star-made-famous Kai.
Since I was already in love with Grain de soleil, I decided to try the Soleil and it was a nice, very nice jasmine, blooming non-stop, unencumbered by the roses, wisteria, musk ( let me admit that musk is there, just for the foundation)or lily.
It is the dynasty of jasmine.
Like many fragrances by Fargonard, this one has a good lasting power in the eau de parfum version, a soft sillage and it is a well made jasmine scent.

Comet
The notes orbit around flowers. The mixture gives the feeling of tuberose or rather orange blossom, pervasive, striking, creamy. A powder cloud floats in the solar system as detritus of a comet, but metallic notes rather avoid the place.

SOLEIL can be cautiously offered to some gentlemen, too, bearing in mind, that it is rather fitting for metrosexual or let’s say, poetical gents.

The perfume is durable as Fragonard creatures are usually long lasting.

Who wants to feel the sun again?
Well, are you already shivering?
I mean, of course, from the cold, since it's… well, cool outside. Let's say it's freezing cold… (where does this expression actually come from? Or have you ever had an extremely cold backside? :D Sitting outside on ice, especially with a bare bottom, doesn't count!).

So I can well imagine that many of you are eagerly waiting for summer, or at least for spring. But maybe this fragrance can warm you up a bit, after all, it carries the name of the sun in its title :)

The Fragrance:
At first, I smell orange blossoms, slightly diluted, but still very nice and fresh-scented. Then come the freesias, which always smell a bit stuffy to me… well, it's not that bad after all :D
Just a little later, the fragrance becomes even more floral (but fortunately not stuffier), as the roses join in, giving off a slightly sour-sweet scent. I'm not so sure if the other floral notes like wisteria or lilies can be distinguished here. I certainly can't, but you know by now how my botany knowledge stands :D
The sweet notes remain in check despite the amber, jasmine, and musk, and are more detectable in the background, as the floral notes, especially the rose, dominate even later on. This remains the case until all the fragrance notes gradually fade away and in the end are hardly identifiable.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is above average. At a not too great distance, it can definitely be noticed.
The longevity is about four to five hours, which is just okay.

The Bottle:
The bottle is inflated oval and filled with yellowish fragrance liquid. In a nice cursive font, the name of the fragrance is written on the front. The cap represents a sun and is thus the most distinctive feature of this really well-designed bottle.

So, the fragrance exudes the aura of the warmer seasons through its loose, fresh, and naturally, above all, floral notes, making it a scent for spring and summer. Now in winter, it won't be much use outside, but at home, you can spray it on and dream of nicer days while snuggled up in a warm blanket, drinking tea or coffee, and lamenting because you're stuffing too many cookies and biscuits into yourself :D

As I said, the fragrance is quite nice. For me personally, it's a bit unremarkable (and slightly stuffy because of all the flowers…), but I think you ladies might like it quite a bit, so I would recommend it!

Maybe you can shorten the wait for spring with fragrances like this one!
I personally like autumn and winter… especially when it snows! Which it probably won't do… *sigh*

Floral-Spicy Punch with Lots of Indole
I acquired Soleil in the Souk because the fragrance apparently resembles "Sung (Eau de Toilette) | Alfred Sung." I really like that one, so I was curious. Besides, I have (due to my age) a fondness for 80s/90s fragrances.

Upon the first spray, the bitter and, in combination with jasmine and freesias, quite indolic orange blossom takes your breath away for a moment. But I also think wisteria mixes in right away. We have a huge wisteria in the yard that was in full bloom until recently. So the scent is familiar to me.

At first, I find Soleil unharmonious, sharp-dusty, and bitter. Only as it develops further does the perfume become softer, more floral, and rose-soapy. The bitter orange blossom retreats to the background, allowing a beautiful, radiant white lily to shine through. The fragrance also develops a dry, green-brown spiciness that indeed reminds me of "Sung (Eau de Toilette) | Alfred Sung." I really like this heart note.

It is very important not to put your nose directly on the sprayed area, as the indole will overwhelm you, even though I actually quite like this dusty-animalic note. The perfume smells significantly more harmonious 10 cm above the skin.

Conclusion: Floral, spicy, rather unsweet, indolic. Definitely a little punch that should not be over-applied if you want to avoid a suffocation incident.

And then THIS BOTTLE...! Folks! You can't get more typical of the 90s than this. The chubby sun, reminiscent of a harlequin cap, with the engraved spiral was seen everywhere back then, especially on necklaces or also on those decorative sticks for flower beds. I even still have stamps with the symbols - people loved to decorate letters and postcards with them three decades ago :)

I am pleased with "Soleil | Fragonard." It gets a place of honor in my perfume shelf, even though I probably won't wear it often.

Chemical Fresh Scent.
A floral fresh scent that unfortunately comes across a bit hairspray-like on the skin, thus quite chemical.
This fragrance could only be tested with a scented cloth, which is not very telling.

The scent cloth itself smells fresh-creamy and quite pleasant.
I don't need it.

Very strong, very intense orange hammer scent. Too much for me. But anyone who loves orange blossoms should try it. Lasts forever, great bottle too!

Not just "Soleil" meaning sun, but a solar eruption, an infinitely radiant and galactically overwhelming fragrance explosion.

Bright white flowers complemented by (a bit too artificial) wisteria, intense orange blossoms, subtly rosy.

A club-swinging floral combo bursts in through the door, settles down noisily, and makes a racket until everyone runs out of breath.

Friendly, light, fresh floral scent. Orange blossom well integrated, without being too harsh or dominant. Rounded composition.

Boom..., the bouquet of freesias hits me, with a few fresh orange peels nicely garnished, but I like it!
