Fleur d'Oranger Fragonard 2004 Eau de Toilette

This opens with an intense orange blossom hit, which is tempered with bergamot and jasmine. The base is a honey skin scent with very little musk. Simple and lovely.

The opening is a bit rough for me: bitter, earthy neroli, mixed with some honey (on my skin it unfortunately the honey used here translates to "almost-cat-pee"), and a bit of musk that is very similar to coumarin or hay.

In dry down it softly bloomed into a bolder, more lifelike orange blossom solinote: less bitter and more sweet - somewhat of a "nectar"-like floral mixed in, like honeysuckle.

In my quest to find a photorealistic orange blossom, this one isn't 100% accurate... but it's quite close.

Fleur d'Oranger initially presents itself as a sweet promise, ready to offer its sugary softness and alluring scent. But soon, this flower, which seemed voluptuous at first, becomes fresher and cleaner, almost like baby products.

However, for those seeking the richness of an orange blossom that’s honeyed or wrapped in a gourmand softness, Fleur d'Oranger might feel a bit too "innocent," lacking the warm roundness one might expect from such an enchanting flower.

Un fiore d’arancio semplice e senza troppe pretese, 35€ per 100ml lo collocano sicuramente tra i top player in rapporto qualità prezzo. È un profumo super fresco e adoro usarlo a lavoro tra giugno e fine settembre, si fa sentire senza essere invadente, la tenuta su pelle è minima ma sui tessuti rimane piacevolmente per molte ore. Fragonard sa regalare piccole perle.
