The Subtle and Gentle Beauty of Vanilla
Thanks to a nice perfumer here on this forum, I received a sample of this fragrance among others.
Since it was a surprise sample and I previously knew nothing about this scent or Fragonard, I approached the smelling experiment completely unprejudiced.
I dripped the perfume onto my skin, and immediately a very pleasant scent greeted me, which I liked right away. Now I was curious to see how it would develop.

Fleur de vanille is very refined without appearing forced: the dark chocolate, rose, ylang-ylang, and citrus fruits are perfectly and harmoniously balanced, with an incredible lightness to it all.
The development of the fragrance on my skin is very coherent; nothing irritates the nose here, the citrus notes remain very much in the background. Warm, soft, and elegant, it unfolds and radiates a straightforward coziness.
After a while, a slightly smoky, almondy, subtle, and somewhat mysterious vanilla remains. At no point is it boring (which often happens with vanilla scents). Slightly erotic... and gentle. Not artificial, not too sweet. Simply perfect!
Vanilla scent and its interpretation in its most beautiful form. I am thrilled!!!

And I decide: I must have this fragrance! No matter the cost! (It smells like a very good and expensive niche fragrance, so I have already sacrificed my piggy bank ;-)
After I found the company’s website and saw what it costs, namely a two-digit amount starting with 2 and ending with 5 for 100ml, I immediately ordered it, happy to have spared my wallet so much :-)
Now that I have the bottle, I can say after wearing it several times that it absolutely delivers what it promised for me.

I am often approached about this fragrance and gladly share “the secret.”
Let Fragonard gain more customers from Austria and be rewarded for such a fantastic scent at an unbeatable price.
Furthermore, I am ensuring that it is not discontinued!!! :-)

Can men wear it too? Certainly, if they enjoy subtle, gentle, vanilla, and not overly masculine scents, they will like it very much.

Powder Vanilla
At some point, there should have been a sharing here, which unfortunately did not happen.
That was not a pleasant experience. And so I forgot about the fragrance.
Today I received a small miniature set from the Les Naturelles line. I was quite curious and tested it.

And the scent is very interesting to me. It starts like a vanilla cologne, with citrus notes. I already like it a lot. I don't know anything comparable.
The vanilla is slightly smoky. The citrus notes fade after about 30 minutes, and the fragrance becomes warmer and softer.
Later, Ylang Ylang becomes more dominant and supports the vanilla sweetly and powdery.
I can only smell the almond very faintly. Here it is almost marzipan-like. But it stays in the background.
I do not detect the dark chocolate.
The fragrance develops into a beautiful, gourmand musk powder scent that can be worn daily.
I will have to order a large bottle from Fragonard after all and simply forget the failed sharing. The scent is beautiful and delicate and exactly what has been missing in my collection of powder fragrances.
The sillage is closer to the skin later on. However, the scent lasts a good 4 to 5 hours and gives my skin a wonderful touch.

Lukewarm Vanilla
Action: Lines for uncommented fragrances ;)

After an alcoholic opening, a gentle vanilla scent with a slight roasted aroma unfolds. If the vanilla in Vanille Insensée
by Atelier Cologne can be described as cold, then the one from Fragonard is lukewarm. ;) I have just applied Vanilla Creme Fleur by Voluspa for comparison on the other arm, and it is significantly warmer and softer, but it becomes distinctly more floral in the heart note, which does not happen with Fragonard. The ylang-ylang only adds a floral undertone; the rose does not come through for me. (Yay, I actually don’t like rose!)

Fleur de Vanille also has a gently bitter note, perhaps the benzoin. I also detect a minimal rubber note. Citrus fruits are not present on my skin; it is more of a bourbon vanilla scent that does not seem particularly complex, yet it stands out from other vanilla fragrances due to its "temperature."
I do not notice any development; it remains lightly cool-gourmand.

At the very end, Fleur de Vanille becomes a bit warmer and finishes pleasantly vanilla-roasted.

Delicate vanilla scent, refreshed with bright flowers. Subtle, can be worn anytime without harming the environment! I find it very pleasant.

A zesty vanilla that develops beautifully. Later it becomes quite gourmand, not too sweet and not cloying. Gorgeous!

Citrusy-fresh vanilla in the context of floral-resinous notes and a gourmand base direction. This is well done.

Citrusy fruits caress the rosy warm, slightly clean vanilla. Not really sweet, more spicy. Also something for the gentlemen.

Bright vanilla. A bit boring for me, because it's "just" ylang-ylang, vanilla + a little citrus. The rest doesn't show up. Longevity is very good.

Fluffy, warm, cotton-soft, round and enveloping vanilla with a wonderfully creamy finish.

Absolutely great. Not sweet, herbal, complex, warm, deep but also fresh, modern.
