Jackie and Audrey

You can collect old furniture or pictures, but only a fragrance can leap into your nose so powerfully that you are instantly whisked back 100, 50, or 30 years. L'interdit is such a fragrance. You spray it on, and you instantly transform into Jackie Kennedy in a pink suit and pillbox hat. Or into Audrey Hepburn in pointed stilettos and a flowing cocktail dress. Or into Grace Kelly in a brown raglan coat and turban hat.
L'Interdit is totally retro, as if it had been frozen in 1960 and suddenly brought back like old wine. Due to the aldehydes, it may resemble Chanel No. 5 at first glance, but then it is slowed down by the jasmine that mixes in and gives it that 60s vibe.
I bought the stuff because I am hopelessly nostalgic; I don't even particularly like it. But sometimes, when I crave a jasmine tea with Jackie, Audrey, and Grace, I spray myself with it.

Green-floral Nothing

A cloud of gentle aldehydes, delicate green notes, and an indefinable floral sweetness greets me right from the start, with the sweet floral notes condensing into a soft, slightly soapy bouquet that has a noticeable retro touch. However, everything remains light, floating, but also somehow pale and undefined. The sweet floral scent with its slightly old-fashioned nuance starts to annoy me after a while (though I am not a fan of romantic sweet floral fragrances), as there is no further development.
I also looked at the comments on the original, which were almost all very taken with the creation dedicated to Audrey Hepburn. I do not know the original, but given the reduced pyramid of this harmless-innocent, somewhat boring, and very fleeting scent, I doubt that the 2007 version has much in common with the original. I also cannot imagine that Audrey Hepburn would have enjoyed the Les Parfums Mythiques version of L'Interdit. This is not a fragrance for adult women, but rather for very young women in their teenage years. I myself have always steered clear of this type of perfume since my teenage years, and so I feel with Les Parfums Mythiques L'Interdit like a sheep dressed as a lamb.

A remake of the 1st "L'interdit" fragrance, a beautiful option for anyone who loves Chanel No. 5.
It has a lot of nostalgic charm.

At first, it's a creamy, fresher N°5. Unfortunately, it develops an unpleasant ozone-metallic-cool note that reminds me of the old Estèe. What a shame..
