Precious Forest Review
The scent of the entire forest, filled with wild flowers and rose bushes. In the middle of the woods, rabbits hunt nuts and fairies bake sweet cookies. An orchestra that echoes both the oriental side of rose oud and the lovely side of vanilla gourmand. This is extremely addictive and there is no way to cure addiction.

I don't know what I'm smelling...
....but it smells good.

At least once a week, I spray my beloved, precious forest and am blown away every time. It is sweet, delicately creamy like the haze when a candle is blown out, gently spicy, with a hint of floral, minimally woody, and so much more.

In short: I love it. But I can't really sniff out a single one of the listed notes. And my nose is usually not bad at all.

For example, I would swear that there is incense in it, or at least opoponax... or perhaps myrrh.
Apparently not...

However, I can't detect rose anywhere; it might only contribute to the velvety-sweet floral aspect in the background.

The longevity and sillage are better than many other Mercheri fragrances, but one shouldn't expect a beast here. That would probably make it oppressive and unpleasant.

So definitely not worthy of a blind buy, but for me, an absolute gem in my collection.

Forest Walk
Like a forest walk after fresh summer rain, "Les Merveilles - Precious Forest | Keiko Mecheri" smells to me.
It has a fresh-sweet quality, where individual notes blend together and it reminds me associatively of damp Himalayan balsam (without actually smelling like it).
For me, it is a wonderful example that the fragrance notes were chosen based on the impression they evoke together, rather than their individual scents.
Perhaps my nose is also a bit out of practice, but you can't really pinpoint that there is leather, rose, and tonka, etc. Everything weaves together on the skin into this one impression:
It has rained, the sun is still hidden behind gray clouds, the earth is steaming, and at the edge of the forest, the fresh scent of sweet flowers and damp wood rises.

The fragrance develops little, remains straightforward and consistent in intensity until it suddenly disappears.

Another Area 52 or Shit happens
2011: "Damn," Marc cursed, "Shit!" He looked around in horror to see if anyone from the faculty had seen him. Apparently not, they were all at lunch, at least that. The whole vial had shattered. That wasn't the worst part; the worst part was that he had opened the window beforehand - against regulations. It was a hot summer day, and the greenhouse was heating up despite all the technology. This couldn't be true. He looked around again. The chances weren't bad of clearing everything up before the others noticed...

2013: "Oh, let's go a little further, it's so enchanting here," Keiko tried to convince Kamel. Sighing, he gave in; he just couldn't say no to her, even though this hike was already too long for him, and they still had to go back. But she looked so excited, and it was indeed beautiful here, really remote. Quite an adventurous area; no one really came here anymore, at least not since the research center had closed. "I think it smells wonderful," she interrupted his thoughts, "somehow like flowers, but I wouldn't even know which ones, I've never smelled anything like this." Well, that should mean something coming from her; after all, she was a perfumer. Now he noticed it too: there was really something oddly floral in the air. "There will be more in this direction," she called, "come on, I have to find out where it's coming from!" She disappeared into the underbrush. Immediately after, he heard her scream. He rushed after her and almost screamed himself: she was standing under several tree-high, gigantic flowers, like magenta-colored funnels hanging down from above. If the one she was looking up at had fallen, it would have completely enveloped Keiko like a wizard's hat tent. Inside, the blooms had even more colors: pink, orange, brown, and white. Now he was also standing under one and looking up into it - suddenly it was as if he were looking into the eyes of the snake Kaa. "Listen to me, trust me..." Oh God, and this scent - he had to be careful not to lose himself in it, to sink to the ground and find himself in a dream world from which he might never wake up.
Rooted to the spot, they both stood there staring up. These plants couldn't be from this world. This only slightly sweet and extremely intense floral scent made the green of the forest around them, the aromatic, already wilting grass in the sun, and the green freshness that the wind carried from the nearby stream seem like a feeble, fading breath. Not even the resin of the old trees came through noticeably.
Suddenly, they both moved again at the same time. "Let's get out of here, maybe they're poisonous," he wanted to say. But the sentence got stuck in his throat. Keiko was actually swinging a huge branch. She obviously wanted to chop off one of those crazy wizard hat flowers. Cheerfully, she called to him: "Incredible! THIS is going to be a perfume!"
He held his hands up to his eyes.

Forest? Where? I smell fruit salad and a few flowers. Could also be a newbie from the mainstream shelf. The new Keikos aren't for me.

Fine-sour start, develops sweet-spicy and slightly woody, tea and incense noticeable in the background - no forest associations.

Soft-spicy and balsamic, slightly waxy, creamy, becoming sweeter over time. Feels very polished and feminine, like a luxurious cosmetic scent.

Well composed: a bright scent, slightly tangy and creamy, hints of mango and guava, minimal floral. Delicate, with a light warmth.

What an interesting aroma cocktail: The silky-sweet scent of tonka bean is accented by gentle resin and leather notes. Unique!

The worst perfume in a long time. Disgustingly sweet-synthetic, it instantly makes me feel nauseous. I had to (try to) wash it off quickly.

Green wood at the start dusted with cocoa powder and spices. The wood then becomes older/nobler/drier in a fine mist of amber and incense.

A fine fruity-floral scent with a hint of powder, great sillage, and very feminine. However, it reminds me a bit of Camellia by Keiko.

This is how a warm chai tea with milk should smell in winter by a fireplace. Really lovely for the Christmas season and autumn.

Fruity-sweet and unharmonious scent that has nothing to do with "Forest" at all, for me it's purely a women's fragrance, 220€ ???
