Aquatic perfumes
I guess it's no longer possible to make an aquatic perfume without it smelling like toilet freshener. The association of toilets and aquatic notes is just too strong nowadays. L'Eau Pure smells nice and fresh and lovely, but I don't want my body and clothes to smell like this on purpose. I smell like this after replacing the used up Domestos toilet block with a nice new fresh one.

Bathroom smell...
Oh, this is so sad... i only get a bathroom smell from this one...I miss Kenzo's golden age, when they were making bold, original perfumes! Not generic air freshers, without any character, fading away in the immense sea of forgettable perfumes nowadays...Gone are the days of Jungle or Amour...
Poor quality ingredients (I can only get lemon and clean musk, super-synthetic), no silage, no longevity... during hot summer days would last for 1 hour or so. Hard pass for me.

Quest for Blue - calm waters
Seen, beautifully presented in the store and just picked up. Something caught my attention, maybe the fact that it had hardly any reviews yet.

I like the fragrance pyramid, so I applied it generously.

What do you get here? A gentle blue, lovely mandarin in the opening, which even remains part of the composition until the end. When it comes to a citrus note, that's really not common. The second major player is lavender, relatively present, calming the whole composition and I like this note here. In the base, a bit of musk, woods for the foundation, nothing wild - very soft and not scratchy.

A scent that doesn't rely on authentic sea freshness, but rather a lavender freshness feeling mixed with a bit of lemon/mandarin and additional elements.

As unexciting as that sounds, it is beautifully constructed as a fragrance and truly brings joy. I believe it will fly under the radar with all the Kenzo bamboo tubes, but I like it.

Longevity and sillage - sillage is weak but on the skin, especially from the lavender, it lasts quite a while.

This is what a vacation by the sea smells like
I recently tested this fragrance for the first time in a perfumery in Gran Canaria.

My hotel was right by the sea, and every day I enjoyed the view and the sea air. The sun was blazing. It was a really hot week.

I like to browse through perfumeries on-site, get inspired, and I also enjoy shopping. One day, I ended up at "L'Eau Pure | Kenzo," and this fragrance is for me a day by the sea to spray. Nothing more, nothing less. Fresh, a bit tangy, aquatic with a hint of mandarin and lavender, a welcome refreshment on hot days. For me, the scent is absolutely unisex.

The price of the fragrance was unbeatable, so I bought it right away. It reminds me of my vacation in Gran Canaria and the days by the sea. The only downside is that the longevity could be better. I have no other complaints.

Great Gentle Aquatic for Everyone
Even though winter is still in full swing and the snow and freezing temperatures make it hard to feel any summer vibes, I want to review this summery aquatic. After all, fresh aquatics can be worn all year round, especially in everyday life and during sports activities. They convey a wonderful feeling of freshness and suggest a bit of positive energy. The brand Kenzo is one of my favorite designer brands, and I own many pieces from this Japanese label. The creations have something great to offer and do not feel as carelessly thrown together as some other brands do. With L'eau Pure, we once again get a unisex fragrance, which doesn't happen that often in the designer industry. It's just harder to market, but as a freshie, it’s significantly easier, as CK One once demonstrated. Here we have an aquatic that has really convinced me. The sample I had was not so great, as you could only test 0.7ml once since it was a tear-open type. The image of this fragrance is supposed to be sustainable with 91% natural ingredients and recycled glass. Overall, a great idea, as a bit of sustainability would do many good.

The bottle is cool with a water droplet look, which naturally fits this aquatic. The fragrance is available in sizes of 30, 50, and 100ml at the usual fair prices (at least in the common online shops). You definitely get a great overall package here if you like those typical no-brainer freshies that appeal to pretty much everyone. Of course, it’s not niche, but nothing here feels cheap or synthetic.
Here we have a great freshie that doesn’t primarily rely on citrus. The forefront is clearly dominated by Aquozone, a synthetic fragrance ingredient that, as the name suggests, is an aquatic. Naturally, it’s not 100% authentic like almost all aquatic notes, but it is quite mild and simply pleasant. Additionally, there’s a combination of juicy mandarin and lemon, contributing a refreshing mix of citrus and fruit. The citrus is not too strong here, so everything is in soft harmony. As the fragrance develops, it becomes softer, the top note dims a bit, and gentle lavender joins the aquatic. The usual "clean base" with musk and sandalwood harmonizes with the DNA and the aquatic, providing a wonderful happy ending. Overall, it’s not a groundbreaking fragrance, but it’s really well done and simply soothing if you want to radiate some freshness. A very gentle aura that convinces. Wearable in everyday life and during sports activities, of course all day in summer. Unisex is 100% accurate.
Performance is decent for a freshie. The fragrance lasts a minimum of 7 hours, and the sillage is pleasant and quite good.

Overall, a great release that is absolutely worth it if you like designer freshies. Not one of many, but quite distinctive. I really like it and can recommend it. Perhaps a small bottle will find its way to me, as I enjoy wearing such uncomplicated gentle fragrances.

Freshwater aquatic, with a fair bit of sleek sandalwood on drydown. Smells like a clean bathroom I'd be pleasantly surprised to walk into.

Just no. It smells like a bathroom. A clean one, but still a bathroom nonetheless.

A great fresh aquatic scent. Reminds me of CK2. White florals, light citruses, aquatics... Pretty good! 3/5

A simple, fresh, synthetic scent with cheerful citrus notes at the start, harmless dark herbal aquatic, and a bit of "wood."

Finally a great, pleasant aquatic with good longevity! Initially a sharp note, but it quickly fades away. Highly recommended!

Gentle mandarin with lavender, light vacation vibes, a decent shot in the dark, boring but okay. Kenzo has better.

Never rely on Parfumo reviews. A very unpleasant and repulsive aquatic scent that hits the stomach immediately.

Fresh mandarin synthetic with a hint of musk on light-footed fruits, gives off a summery 90s vibe at first sniff.
