A Review of a "Little Girl's Perfume"?
Yes!
And why? Because just yesterday I tested "Red Jeans | Versace." The difference between the expectations and origins of these two fragrances motivates me to dedicate a review to "Disney - Frozen | La Rive."
We have a scent here with low sillage. Which is totally fine for a "little girl’s fragrance." On the contrary, I would find it rather concerning if a five- or eight-year-old were to walk around with a huge scent trail. That’s not necessary. (The fundamental question of whether children even need perfume is something I won’t touch on here; that’s more for the blog.)
The longevity is also poor for an "adult fragrance," but absolutely acceptable for the age group.
The scent itself is surprisingly good. It doesn’t come across as cheap or synthetic to me. It’s not overly sweet either. It’s a floral fragrance that (from wherever) also has a certain freshness, as befits the name "Frozen." A scent that I don’t need as an adult, but would willingly wear.
Then there’s La Rive, which operates in the cheapie segment.
When I compare it to what Red Jeans from the designer brand Versace (or is it spelled Verarsche? My Italian isn’t that great) is-a synthetic, cheap-smelling concoction... No, no, I definitely prefer to wear the princess dress over the red jeans, because contrary to expectations, the former is not childish as one might think.
