Not the hit
The fragrance has been "maturing" in my cupboard for over a year. It dates back to the time when I had to gradually rebuild my collection, when Corona put a spoke in my wheel. Although there is no musk in it, I found it a little difficult to get used to the fragrance after buying it. Something bothered and still bothers me enormously. While La Rive used to shine with the fact that the scent began with hairspray, alcohol or synthetics and then disappeared, there is now a strange musty note in all the newer fragrances that runs through the whole scent. I think that the company is also cutting back and that's where the problem lies.
But now to the fragrance, which has aged but not matured in my eyes. The fruity beginning like plums/apple pie in fall. Vanilla and cinnamon hint at Christmas. No blackcurrant. But it wouldn't have fit either. Then the super-crisp jasmine, which doesn't really harmonize. It flattens everything. The woods try to muffle and round it off, which doesn't work either.
The loud fragrance that wants to tell the Boss fragrance that it is even louder and that it is the Boss. Boss can only smile wearily at this. The little Boss is quite affectionate and doesn't want to weaken even after 5-6 hours.
If you like the Boss fragrance, it is better to wait for an offer and pay a few euros more than to pay less for a fragrance that is not a hit. Even if it is supposed to be like the great Boss.
