A great, fresh summer fragrance

Many thanks to Carsten for the bottling of "Liam Blue Shine / ليام | Lattafa / لطافة" :-) This is a really nice, refreshing and fruity summer fragrance that is somewhere between Acqua di Giò Profondo (2020) Eau de Parfum, Bentley for Men Silverlake and Versace pour Homme Dylan Blue Eau de Toilette. The longevity on my skin is great at around 12 hours. In addition, the sillage is more than successful.

The top note starts very fresh, maritime and fruity-citrusy. Here I recognize lemons, bergamot, mandarins, a shower gel character and a subtle synthetic. The heart note smells spicy, green, floral, woody and herbal with aromas of pepper, mint, lavender, rosemary, iris, violet, clary sage, pine needles, cypress and fig leaves. The base has a sweet, woody and vanilla scent of amber, sandalwood, tobacco, balsam and some musk.

If you consider the price here, you realize how much you can get for little money - great!

Smell like a North Sea vacation...

... when the clouds clear, the rain moves on and leaves behind fresh, clear air that feels as blue as the sky now appears. The swell is moderate, the water quite cool.
But a walk on the beach, including digging your toes in the fine, wet sand, is a pleasure.
Bathing? Not yet, because it's only mid-May. But it's still warm enough to lie down on a blanket in a grove of maritime pines and enjoy the sound of the nearby sea and its spicy scents, which mingle with those of the trees and the rosemary growing between them. Tart and slightly salty, it is a great pleasure for the nose and the mind.
The occasional gust of wind, which smells as bright as pepper and lemons, makes everything perfect But the rather chilly weather, which can sometimes make you shiver, can be countered with a light earth-colored stole made of fine sheep's wool around the shoulders. Especially if it smells slightly of patchouli....
this "blue glow" is definitely "oriental". And that's a good thing here. Although I also like "rich, spicy Orient", an olfactory North Sea vacation in late spring can prove to be quite pleasant and relaxing :-))

More than just a profondo dupe!

My girlfriend recently bought "Her Choice" by La Rive, and I was really impressed by how much this dupe resembles its role model, Armani My Way. Unfortunately, AdG Profondo is not quite so easy. La Rive doesn't offer anything useful and the Azzaro Chrome Extreme was sold out everywhere. Rather by chance, I discovered the Liam Blue Shine by Lattafa, which most reviewers also describe as very similar. So I ordered a bottle of it straight away!

The fragrance is delivered in an absolutely exquisite and huge box, against which the simple outer box of the original looks laughable. The front of the bottle is blue, the rest of the bottle is yellowish gold and the lid and atomizer are gold. So the design gets 9 out of 10 points from me!

What's inside is much more important than the packaging. So I treated myself to 2 powerful sprays on my neck and was really amazed at first - the Profondo DNA is clearly noticeable, citrus freshness with aquatic tones - perfect!

However, what follows in the heart note really surprised me. Here, the fragrance takes a completely different direction and gives the Profondo fragrance an oriental character. I think I can quickly smell caraway and cloves, which makes the fragrance - despite its summery opening - a perfect winter scent.

The end is then almost identical to the original. In addition, the fragrance does not last too long, which is of course primarily due to the price. Nevertheless, I was more than pleasantly surprised by the overall package and will be rocking this fragrance as an office daily next winter. While I naturally appreciate the similarity to my favorite Profondo, it was precisely those minimal differences that make this fragrance so special to me!

Looking for a fragrance for school? Maybe this is it

At the end of the summer vacation, it occurred to me to finally buy a new fragrance for school. When I heard about this colleague, mainly on social media, and saw the low price for 100 ml, I thought I had found the perfect perfume. Now I've been wearing this fragrance for half a year, both in summer and winter. And it delivers. Nevertheless, I think it was praised a little too much in summer. Too many influencers just love all perfumes and don't give honest feedback. Of course you can smell Aqua di Gio EdP and I can understand if you don't like this DNA that has been changed in the EdP. Nevertheless, it can be worn very well for school or work, but for leisure use it is too formal for me. But if you want a good fragrance for school and/or work for under 30€, you can't go wrong with the citrusy and ambery notes.

Liam Blue Shine is a fresh and light fragrance that is perfect for everyday wear. Its style is reminiscent of the Acqua di Giò Profondo fragrance. Immediately after spraying it on, it smells very clean and modern with a slightly tart note that is not too strong.

I think it's good for school or work because it's not overpowering but still looks well-groomed. It lasts for about four to six hours, which is really okay for the price. It lasts longer on clothes.

The bottle looks simple but sturdy and sits well in the hand. For someone who is young, like me, and looking for a fresh all-round fragrance, Liam Blue Shine is definitely a good choice.
