From hate to love!
This is the first perfume I've ever bought. When I first smelled it, I was a little dissapointed; it smelled like something my grandma would wear, I told myself. My dislike was such that I even hid it from sight, storing it in a dark box beneath my bed. But today I decided to get it out of the box —because I own another perfume with ylang-ylang and was curious about how it smelled on this one—, and the surprise I got when I smelled the sweetest thing ever was unprecedented!

It opens very sweet, but not at all cloying, lots of ylang-ylang, and then it becomes very creamy and vainilla-like, like an ice cream cone filled with flowers... Not grandma-like anymore, or maybe yes and my tastes have just expanded, I don't know!

Delicious, delicious ..
Delicious!
This is a fantastic scent for summer!
Heavy, droopy, creamy floral notes in the top, dominated by frangipani with the solar notes peaking through already!
It reminds me so much of the scent of expensive sun screen, worn at the seaside.
Then a little bit of freshness, the cedar wood building the base with some warm under tones.
Good balance of creamy and fresh, smells much more expensive than it is! I love it!

Reads better than it smells
Shahd contains many of my favorite notes. Nevertheless, the scent remains surprisingly unengaging for me. It feels linear and uncomplicated, almost flat. The depth and development I had hoped for are absent. Not a bad fragrance, but also not one that truly captivates. It could have been a forgotten scent from the 90s.

Waiting for the Rancid or When Exactly Will You Not Smell So Good?
I admit, I like creamy scents and I also confess that Frangipani and Ylang Ylang sometimes form an unholy-rancid alliance on my skin. If notes like salt or jasmine are added, it can happen that the rancidity takes over and I unfortunately have to wash it off.
Thanks to a lovely perfume friend, I was able to test this fragrance and was quite surprised when I read the notes and the similar scents. I find both Narciso Eau de Parfum Ambrée and Olympēa Eau de Parfum to be just okay - I think Narciso is quite nice, but Olympea really overwhelms me.

However, Shahd develops on my skin in a creamy, slightly powdery way. The tuberose and solar notes give the fragrance an incredible softness that makes it appealing, and Ylang and Frangipani soften this minimally piercing combination from the 90s scents. It has very minimal Monoï Eau des Vahinés Eau de Toilette vibes but is nowhere near as oppressive. The base is partly the classic wood-musk-amber/vanilla/whatever building block, but here it doesn't overwhelm.
The scent is the much-discussed luxurious body lotion. It is creamy, soft, sensual, and everything but cloying. It has just enough creaminess that you can wear it in summer, whether in the humid, rainy German June or hopefully at a pleasant 25°C in the Canary Islands.
I will take it with me and test it, and for 20 euros, you can't go wrong.

This fragrance is once again one of those scents that, through the Arabic reinterpretation of existing and well-known fragrances, has created something new, in my opinion, something better. What annoyed me about the two inspirations has been shaped in such a way that it became a better version. And the price/performance ratio is really good.

I liked this better after it sat and ‘matured’ for a while

A tropical musky fragrance for all ages. Leading with ylang ylang, frangipiani, solar notes and musk- smooth, inviting and hard to dislike.

I find the perfume dreamy, it really resembles Narciso Rodriguez scents, which I love. H/S: 7/10, P/L 10/10, fragrance notes: 10/10

Floral-powdery, slightly fruity-vanilla, and a bit intense, Narciso vibes in a ridiculously ugly bottle.

Just as sunny, frangipani-tuberose, and rich as the original. The musk is well done.
Great dupe for Narciso Ambrée!

Full, warm and sweet; so what; Frangipani with soft wood, sun, hat, you stretch out proudly.

Tropical sunscreen scent. Unfortunately, like real sunscreen, it needs to be reapplied every few hours. Lasts for me only from 12 to noon.

Like real frangipani & ylang in the tropics. Sweet-floral-creamy. Blooms beautifully in high temperatures. My summer casual scent.

A bit fruitier and lighter than Narciso Ambree - and thus a better alternative for me.
