I like it but I definitely don’t love it.

This resembles a bit of Gris Charnel Eau de Parfum in combination with Santal 33 Eau de Parfum.

The opening is a nice galbanum with a hint of ginger. I don’t know if it’s because the weather is 99° F where I live but the green goodness from the galbanum literally disappear within a few minutes.

The drydown comes rather fast. A creamy sandalwood and zesty ginger will sit close for awhile.

On my skin I do not get the “dill” scent as some mentioned, but for whatever reason, I get a fresh scent as if I was sitting on my porch. Is it the solar notes? Possibly.
If this was a little more on the original side, I would purchase it, but it reminds me of other fragrances and that’s what I try and avoid.

Sample it because you might like it. Who knows, if I find a secondhand bottle for a great price, I might pick it up.

I find the repeated comparisons to Santal 33 misleading and somewhat reductionist. Obviously, this has a sandalwood base but it is a far softer and also more complex scent than Santal 33. I compared my Santa 33 to it across two days right side/left side and it's simply not the same (at least on me). I do understand how it is rather as if one combined Gris Charnel and Santal 33 but those two together would be rougher; this is quieter and more subtle. The quality ingredients seem more refined and luxurious than either of those individually, much less combined (and I own both of the others). What I liked a best about it was the lovely ginger note which is prominent at the start and remains through hours of drydown. The duration of this on me is about 4-5 hours. I wouldn't say I love it but that's because I personally have moved away from sandalwood over the past few years. I have no doubt, however, that were I to want to add another sandalwood base parfum to my collection, this would be a quality addition.

Just received the full bottle after trying a sample, and I'm in love. Sure it's $$$, but it lasts for hours and elevates any perfume I layer it with. I tend to lean towards sweet/gourmand scents but something about the creaminess of the sandlewood mixed with the woodsy green notes creates a perfect blend on my skin, 5 stars!!

Let me preface this by stating I have NOT smelled Santal 33- so I have no clue as to how it compares to this.
Anyways, out of my current rotation of samples I have from LV, this was very much a love at first sniff. It starts off as a rather dry green citrus ginger with woods.
I feel like people who perceive this to smell like pickles think that the smell of brine is similar to the opening. Which, I sort of understand, but I do not really agree with the association, especially as it dries down.
As the scent ages, it mellows down to a creamy almost sweet powdery sandalwood.
I would say this is truly unisex despite this is for men. I say this because the scent is transformative way- it's a bit strange. The start is rather masculine, but winds down into something more delicate and feminine-leaning.
Extremely solid longevity (8+ hours), I feel this is one of the more versatile scents I've tried from this house- as it can be worn just fine in cooler or warmer weather.
I fully intend to FB this. It is beautiful to me.

I remember first smelling this on a random person. Maybe one of the only times I’ve stopped a stranger and asked them what they were wearing. I honestly don’t see why so many people dislike this fragrance. On my skin it smells amazing. My wife loves it on me and I get tons of compliments.

If you try this don’t use a strip. Put it on skin and come back 30-60 mins. If it right for your skin, you’ll find it amazing l. This is my number one fragrance in my collection. It’s great for all seasons, signature scent worth
