The Four Seasons - Summer
Once again, a women's fragrance. So what? Why not? I have made it my goal to test as many scents as possible, as I simply enjoy it a lot, and therefore, there are now more women's fragrances coming up.
And since I saw that there is mandarin in it, I couldn't resist even more.
The scent:
The fragrance starts off with a sweet, deliciously smelling peach and then transitions to the citrus notes, where you first smell a creamy lemon and then perceive mandarin peels. With its creamy touch, this perfume in the top note smells a bit like delicious fruit ice or yogurt.
In the heart note, the citrus notes remain, which should be due to the slightly bitter-scented (but still beautiful and citrusy) grapefruit. However, I didn't notice much of the mint.
The base is rather weak, as the scent becomes a bit sweeter due to the musk, but the citrus notes from the beginning are still present in a subdued form. However, the sweetness takes away some of the creaminess of the scent, which isn't bad, as the fragrance becomes a bit warmer and softer while still remaining a lovely summer scent. Later, after one to two hours, you can also smell the peach again a bit.
Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is not very long. It lasts just under three hours before the scent becomes too weak.
The sillage is very subtle, which may be due to the creamy "aftertaste" that makes the citrus notes appear a bit weaker. Although the scent will be noticeable for a short time, unfortunately, it quickly becomes almost only skin close. But hey, that's almost always the case with citrus summer fragrances, and you can easily get around this by creating a small decant and occasionally reapplying.
The bottle:
The bottle is elongated, rectangular, and topped with a crystal-like cap. Like many other Micallef bottles, this one is also quite ornate and looks great. Here at Eté, you can see a stylized tree with embedded Swarovski crystals as fruits. Everything is very beautifully done!
Eté by Micallef is a lovely, simple, and above all, relaxed summer fragrance for women. It can be described as citrus-sweet, although at times it seems to have some light, soapy components (which come and go just before the base and later completely disappear in the base). At the beginning, it even smells like fruit ice or fruit yogurt, which is also delicious!
By the way, the name also fits the scent. Eté. So summer. Now I just need the fragrances for autumn and winter to see if those scents also fit their seasons as well.
You can't go wrong with a test here. Personally, however, I found it a bit too trivial and conventional.
My rating: 65%
