Wonderful

Some fragrances take us back to specific moments, to memories that will always stay with us.
Dallachai is one of those fragrances that I consider as such, of which when I had the privilege of trying it, I didn't even suspect its release.
I put it on one early autumn evening, in one of my favourite cities: Cannes.
The joy of that moment, enjoying the atmosphere of a place that is magical to me, being in a place that until recently I could only watch from afar (but that's another story) and not least, being stopped by people asking me what perfume I was in, can only have made it so special.
For me, it is a wonderful Cappuccino with oriental and spicy nuances, chic, gentle, but also impactful, enveloping you with a wonderful scented cloud, which trust me, lasts a very long and follows your body, making itself perceived and then vanishing unexpectedly, creating something extremely charming.
It reminds me of unexpected kindness, smiles, beautiful and genuine encounters.
Truly a beautiful creation, which I can definitely say I listed among my favourites.

The ratings here absolutely do not reflect the fragrance!

According to the reviews, Dallachaï comes across as a "bad" fragrance But that's definitely not the case! Don't be fooled by the typical preliminary criticism of Montale. It feels like Montale is rated badly even before you have smelled the fragrances.
This is not okay and partly typical of Parfumo members. Please approach the fragrance in a completely neutral way.

In my opinion, Dallachaï starts off excitingly, but still slightly unrounded. The fragrance is still trying to find itself and that is still happening. For me, it starts with a fruity, spicy impression that, as I said, needs a little while to find its feet.
In any case, we get a relatively authentic passion fruit vibe. The passion fruit gets a spicy twist from the clove and cardamom. The coffee note can already be sensed in the background and also contributes to the spicy impression.

Over time, all the notes find a nice common path.
For me, it takes about 20-30 minutes for the fragrance to form this great symbiosis of the aforementioned notes.

In my opinion, the fragrance then follows a fairly straightforward path. It doesn't change much. The only thing is that the fruity component slowly and gradually recedes. The spiciness then also becomes somewhat milder. Otherwise, the fragrance progression is quite linear in my opinion and I don't think that's a bad thing at all.
I like the fragrance as it is.

Incidentally, it is also well received on the outside. Women in particular notice the fragrance and ask what a great scent you're wearing.

Dallachaï is wonderfully unisex and the performance is typical for Montage We don't have a "beast" here this time, but the durability and the sillage are still really perfectly fine.

Mom you stink

My son, who is usually totally in love with my fragrances, said to me today immediately after spraying it on: "Mom, you stink, this perfume is terrible. My two-year-old just replied baah disgusting
I wanted to love it so much, I'm in love with the bottle.
But unfortunately I have to say, it's just totally unrounded. When I spray it on, I get the feeling of burning soda, like after a vodka passion fruit, after a while it becomes rounder and the coffee joins in, at one point you think it's the brother of intense Cafe and wonder if the fragrance will still get the curve but in the drydown it's like a mixture of intense Cafe and erba pura for me and unfortunately I can't make friends with it. I have to say that everyone around me reacted badly to it, what a shame.

Brave combination!

First time spraying... Wow, what is THAT? Passion fruit hits you full of fruit, clove makes the whole thing spicy and a light coffee breeze resonates in the background. I've never smelled anything like it before. And that's meant in a positive way. I like it when fragrances smell different and new combinations come onto the market. This combination is really bold! Hats off to you!

Not an everyday fragrance for me, not a date fragrance, not a sports fragrance, not an office fragrance... yes, what is it?
I think you really have to be in the mood for it.

Maybe as a vacation fragrance? It certainly brings me Morocco vibes. colorful cloths, lots of spices at the market, black coffee, baskets full of passion fruit..

Or maybe as a mood booster when you're out for brunch or shopping with the girls in the dreary, cold, foggy city...?

Progression: After about 15-20 minutes, the fragrance becomes softer and rounder, no longer quite so blatantly spicy. However, the fruity-sweet note remains. It also has gummy bear vibes at the end - but in a pleasant way.

Will I wear it? Yes, probably sometimes, when I'm in the mood for an energy kick.
Do I want my husband to smell like this? No, not really, to be honest.

Please don't buy blindly.

A shisha in Istanbul

I think the fragrance is great! I don't understand all the bad reviews.
To me it smells like pleasant spices, paired with a delicious passion fruit scent and something soft and creamy. I don't smell plastic or Maggi. I was in Istanbul a few years ago. The smell reminds me of a warm evening in a fine shisha bar near a spice bazaar.
Have had the fragrance for 2 days and have already been asked about it (positive!)
Don't let the negative reviews guide you, just smell it yourself (important, it has to rest on the skin for a few minutes until the typical Montale metallic has faded).
