I bought the fragrance as a blind buy. The first time I sprayed it on, I thought to myself: Uhh, when I smelled it again: Ahh. Conclusion: The fragrance needs a little time. Now it's one of my favorite fragrances. A very spicy, leathery fragrance that tastes very leathery to me at first in combination with the rose. Over time, it then develops into an enormously sweet vanilla scent, which I also like so much.
I can really recommend it, especially for the price. The durability and silage are not enormous, but still sufficient.
If you look at the fragrance pyramid, it suggests a sweet and spicy scent. This is definitely true.
In the opening, this fragrance smells quite woody, which I attribute to the sandalwood. After that, the beautiful Montale rose joins in, which, however, never stands out separately for me, but blends perfectly with the amber.
Vetiver I personally do not smell out.
Vanilla is also in the game and leather I smell only when I sniff directly on the skin. I'm glad about that, because in itself I like leather in fragrances - but if it stands out too much, that triggers me unfortunately more often headaches. So that's not a problem here.
I had bought the fragrance blind at the time. And I thought at first, it was a completely failed blind purchase. At the first test, I was almost a little scared.
Only after further tests I understood the fragrance a little better and got used to him. In the meantime, I like him very much.
For me, it was a bit like love. Because that must also grow and is not 100% there at the beginning.
Although the huge wow effect in this fragrance honestly rather missing, he is still a pleasant flatterer, which I can wear all year round. (In summer rather in the evening)
I would not want to miss him in the collection, as he is very pleasant to wear and fits for me to many occasions.
It must also not every fragrance always have a potential of Baccarat Rouge, the this one, for example, I could never wear every day, because it is just something very special.
