When searching for Kitten Heels online, you are shown women's shoes. Kitten Heels are the little sisters of High Heels and are 3-5 centimeters high. They typically have narrow stiletto heels and a pointed toe. In the 1950s, they became popular mainly through Audrey Hepburn.
Personally, I am more of a fan of High Heels without a platform. I love how these 8-10 cm heels create an incredibly feminine and sexy silhouette (provided, of course, that you can walk in them :-)). The advantages of Kitten Heels are clear; they are significantly more comfortable than high heels, suitable for everyday wear and the office, still feminine and elegant, and they match many looks. My style is not to wear heels unless they are high; otherwise, I am more the type for white Chucks (which I wear with everything, by the way).
So where does the fragrance get its name? Well, Robert Ugolini was inspired by the advantages of Kitten Heels. It is meant to be elegant, expressive, and classic, even though it is modernly packaged. However, I find the scent neither classic nor elegant in the sense of "office-elegant." For me, it is very sensual and sexy - just like a High Heel.
The fragrance starts fruity-spicy with a fine, non-cellar-like patchouli note. I don't smell much Ylang-Ylang. It only subtly harmonizes with the geranium. Overall, the floral note combined with sandalwood smells creamy - like dipped in a jar. A balsamic-sweet, but also slightly woody note caresses the heart of the fragrance.
An incredibly delicate-spicy vanilla and graceful tonka nuances refine the scent into a mélange of the most erotic seduction.
Kitten Heel is never intrusive. It is more of a close-to-the-skin confidence booster that constantly plays around you and caresses the senses. It is really not very sweet. The sweetness has more of a balsamic quality and is therefore not overwhelming.
My husband reacted with the words "Mmm, you smell damn good," (and those who have followed my reviews know that he rarely lets himself be prompted to comment).
The woman who wears Kitten Heel definitely walks through life with confidence and does not let anyone impose a style on her. She wears what she likes.
The bottle and the color are well chosen. I would have liked the fragrance to have a bit more punch. But even so, it is very beautifully done.
H+S could be better.
