Roar, Marzocco! Roar!!!
*This review compares some nuances of Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited Edition (extrait) and Marzocco Eau de Parfum (EdP).*

"Marzocco" is a strong lion that was built in the 14th century to protect the city of Florence, Italy. Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited was inspired by the German fizzy candy, Frigeo Ahoj-Brause Brause-Pulver. The idea was to capture the tingly sensation one would get from eating fizzy candy, and I admit it is executed very well.

To me, Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited is a sweet and sparkly orange creamsicle in a bottle. It's citric. It's creamy. It's delicious, and if I could, I would drink it. I want to, every time I spray it! My goodness! Even after a year of owning this perfume, I cannot stop smelling it every time I spray it. It is the third perfume from Roberto Ugolini's line that I purchased, and the EdP version is my most-used all-season fragrance. Yes, I said all-season! Even though it's very sweet, it's still an easy reach for spring and summer due to the citric notes. Mauricio Cerizza and Cristian Calabrò knocked it out of the park with this one.

Comparing between Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited and its little brother Marzocco Eau de Parfum, Marzocco Eau de Parfum EdP is a bit sweeter but falls short on performance by at least a couple of hours. Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited is much stronger, noticeably so just from smelling the atomizers. I also find Marzocco Limited to be a bit more fizzy if that makes sense. A little more tingly. It's the stronger lion version of its cub brother Marzocco Eau de Parfum.

*Extrait de parfum vs. Eau de parfum*
Scents:
Both are extremely similar fizzy orange creamsicles, with Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited being just a bit more sparkly (not at all in an off-putting way) which adds to its sillage, I think.
Performances:
Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited stays with me for 9 hours or more. Incredible power.
Marzocco Eau de Parfum gives me 5-6 hours at best. Sometimes I get as little as 3-4 but I might be getting noseblind quickly, as I have received compliments after I was still able to smell it.

Marzocco Eau de Parfum EdP is the purr of the lion, and Marzocco Extrait de Parfum Limited is the lion's roar! It is what I wish the EdP were, and therefore I treasure and cherish my extrait bottles, which had a limited production of 1200 pieces.

Silk or linen work best with this delicious juice. Soft and airy clothes fit the vibe of this playful fragrance. However, come colder weather, this can still work well under more layers. I am in love!

First Impression / New vs. Old / And its little problem...
Hello everyone,

without much BLAHBLAHBLAH, let's get straight to the important points (see also the title)!

Packaging + cap + bottle = overall really good and an above-average quality (as always with the brand).

First impression:

If you know the EDP = the "Marzocco (Eau de Parfum) | Roberto Ugolini," then you know what to expect, because it is not just somewhat similar, it is very similar, and I find this fact very good. Certainly, you notice certain nuances, in the sense of a bit more of this, a bit less of that, and at the end of the day, we are clearly talking about 90% to 95% similarity.

When you change the concentration of the fragrance oil (less or more), it can happen that you get a completely different scent, and ultimately it is a small art to achieve a scent so similar to the predecessor with a lower percentage of oils!

What are we talking about here in general:
The Marzocco Eau de Parfum + the Marzocco Extrait de Parfum is a fruity, refreshing, slightly creamy scent that becomes a bit woodier and softer in the drydown.

New vs. Old:

The old Marzocco Eau de Parfum was light, pleasing, somewhat transparent, and very friendly, but for me personally, the H/S was always a point where it was too weak. With a niche fragrance, I expect more than 5h or 6h, and it fell into that RANGE (!) and that's why I let it go.

The new one is basically exactly what I wished for, the scent direction of the old one with finally the power I wanted 8h to 11h (roughly). Many such fragrances like, for example, the "Uden | XerJoff" (rough direction!) often become too dense, too heavy, too voluminous in summer + high summer due to the concentration (a high one). Here it fits perfectly.

Still, it has a little problem....

And that does not relate to the scent, the effect, the H/S, or how it is received = because all these points are really very, very good. The (") what I have, others may not! But as a consumer, I find it difficult....

What do I mean by that exactly?

Many companies like, for example, JPG or Dior release EDT, EDP, Parfum, Elixir, Intense, Power Highend Ultra... last Edition, and this practice leaves a modest aftertaste even for me as a businessman. In the end, it’s about money, sales, revenues = all of that is clear to me, and I understand, of course - as a company, you should "milk the cow as long as it gives milk." We indirectly have to bear this practice.... well, I am not a big FAN of it...., but as I said, it is a purely personal problem and nothing earth-shattering ;) .

If I really weren't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
(It’s worth a test!)

And now have a nice day/evening or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny

Oh how sad that I know you won't stay forever....
If one had read this title under a Marzocco some time ago, one would have thought that the person was definitely after the weak longevity that the regular Marzocco has.

However, this is by no means the case with this wonderful Extrait!
In contrast to the Eau de Parfum Marzocco, the sprightly kick is definitely missing at the start, but I do not miss it at all.
The Extrait is the gentler, softer, even "more peaceful" interpretation.

With its calming scent, it has something liberating about it; one wants to let go and appreciate the moment, to be able to experience this wonderful olfactory experience.

Appreciation, a word that I want to incorporate more and more into my everyday life. By now, many things have become self-evident for us, which they are by no means.
A few weeks ago, I had a stronger cold, and like with most people, my nose protested, where I had to realize that I had once again taken for granted the ability to smell a perfume every day.

Immediately, the memory of a good friend who was born without the sense of smell and taste shot into my mind, which is simply taken for granted by many of us, "because you just have it." I think of him again and again when I apply a perfume, smell a perfume, or write about it.

I'm drifting off again....

But that is EXACTLY the scent!

You let go for a moment, philosophize about life, think about everything you have experienced, are experiencing, and perhaps will experience. Sometimes perfumes do not always have to be extravagant, complicated, and complex.

The scent is citrusy, clean, and soft; if I had to describe it with colors, they would be: white, green, and yellow.

The packaging, the bottle, the presentation is all very high quality and beautifully done.

I already found the original Marzocco great, but this Extrait has achieved what I previously would not have thought; it has clearly surpassed it!

It brings joy to smell it, to spray it, and to simply enjoy the bottle.
This scent definitely has a special place in my collection, and I would not want to miss it.

I have the feeling that it will bring me a lot of joy in both good and bad times. I would advise anyone who has the scent to simply apply it to the wrist with 1-2 sprays and relax for 10 minutes to simply appreciate the experience, the moment, and life.

Oh dear, in all this daydreaming, I almost forgot what I teased in the title...

Limited to 1200 pieces...

.... I hope that something happens in this regard someday and that there might be restocks. Herbert Stricker has clearly stated 1200 and that's it.
It would be very, very unfortunate if it really stayed that way forever.

This time it wasn't solely about the scent itself, but rather a larger focus on the olfactory experience.

I hope those who read this to the end enjoyed it.
Maybe some of you had the same thoughts or could at least take something away from my experiences :)

1200 copies… I don’t care
I’m going to crash the party now…
Today I received my decant and you perfume lovers know the feeling when you’re sitting in the car or on public transport on your way home, already filled with anticipation knowing that a new decant is on its way.

So… unpacked, sprayed once on a scent strip and once on skin.

The opening is a mega beautiful sparkling champagne lemon sorbet. Zesty but balanced and delicious.
So far so good…
You wait patiently… here a sniff and there a sniff.

Where are you heart notes? On my skin, if at all, a light jasmine accord. On the scent strip, a slightly better result with citrus creamy sprinkles.

In the end, woody notes emerge, slightly masculine direction.
Unfortunately, on my skin, it doesn’t show up as described in other reviews. In the scent evaluation, it’s received mostly worse by the ladies than by the men.
I’ll test it again on male skin and then make a follow-up.
In the scent development from citrusy-zesty, it takes a short breather and unfolds in the base a noble woody freshness with a shy vanilla accent. It is soft, round, and pleasing. However, very, very close to the skin.
For the price-performance ratio, I cannot recommend buying it, even though the packaging and the bottle are still soooo beautiful.

Best regards, your GlamNose

Almost perfect!
The basic DNA of Marzocco impressed me last year. Summery, very unique, fresh-creamy, and somehow lightly gourmand yet suitable for high summer, it came across as a blend of lime sorbet and orange soda. A combination that packs a punch.
However, I quickly parted ways with my bottle because the longevity (1-2 hours) was unacceptable for me.

When the fragrance was announced in Extrait concentration, I could hardly resist counting myself among the pre-orderers.

Now it is here, the (allegedly) limited and never-to-be-released Marzocco Extrait. Whether that is true - I do not know.
What I do know:

The scent meets my expectations at first.
There it is again, this dreamy orange sorbet DNA. Slightly creamier, but still fundamentally identical to what unfolds in the EdP after about half an hour. The sparkling opening is missing, but it was only of very short duration in the EdP version as well.

Unfortunately, the Extrait does not last significantly longer.

On the skin, you can notice that the scent is oily. The concentration of the fragrance in this version is over 30%, according to Mr. Stricker. I believe that.

Whether I should believe the story of the strict limitation and the tale of the batch that will never be available again - we shall see…

Major downside: The bottle looks super cheap and the sprayer is a plastic disaster. At the set price, the bottle should be of high quality. The velvet is already coming off after 3 days of use. The cheap sprayer produces a stream and not a mist.

Conclusion: Marzocco Extrait is an absolute recommendation for the upcoming summer. For ladies and gentlemen alike. Summer in a bottle! However, the price is too high and the bottle is of poor quality.

Tries to achieve what Liquide does much better (Bisch, I know...). Linear and surprisingly meek for an extrait. Another miss.
