Oud like never before...
I tested this fragrance for the first time today and I am very enthusiastic. I should mention that I tested the perfume oil, not the spray.
The top note is a very fresh aloe vera scent (the freshness surely comes from the grapefruit) with fruity undertones. However, this fades away very quickly for me, and what remains I find extremely intriguing. A peach - oud combination, I have never smelled anything like it before, but it is a great idea. The oud here is not captured by rose or honey, but by the fruity notes of the peach. Very successful, very long-lasting, and a recommendation for lovers of extravagant scents!
Contrary to previous speakers, I don't find the sillage to be that strong either, at least it's not a scent that tends to create a cloud, but rather stays relatively close to the body (though this may also be due to the fact that I tested the oil).

Oud for Summer
This perfume is indeed rare - at least in our latitudes. Rakaan is a modern Arabic Oud variant. Smoky, woody with a hint of fruity freshness in the top note, this summer dream from 1001 Nights can be described.

I must admit that I have not dealt much with the topic of Oud so far and have therefore been able to test relatively few Oud perfumes. Nevertheless, I believe I can claim that this is a very unusual perfume even for the Oud faction. For those looking for a noble summer fragrance, I can recommend a test.

The top note is designed to be fresh, but by omitting the overly familiar lemons, the European fragrance enthusiast is offered a certain exoticism. After that, the Oud quickly asserts itself, subtly accompanied by peaches and flowers. The longevity is very good, and the sillage is relatively close to the body with the oil, making it wearable for quite a few occasions. Anyone who chooses the regular perfume instead of the oil should be aware that they cannot blend into the crowd with it ;)

Who Wants to Stand Out - Rakaan
I don't know any perfume that 1. lasts longer and 2. stands out more.
It already smells overdone just by sniffing the bottle.
It's hard to describe the scent; I don't know any comparable perfume.
Anyone who likes to stand out and has a lot of self-confidence should give Rakaan a try ;-)

Too Much Clover!
Well, the scent itself is nothing special, in my opinion. I had very high expectations after reading the comments here...

A gumball machine in the spirits section forms the top note (very messy, that is - the gumball machine, not the spirits section, because that smells very clear and penetrating). The alcohol (if you want to put a positive spin on it) evaporates quite quickly... the bubble gum follows closely behind (after just 5 minutes), you don't get much from the heart, and it leaves a pleasant base, but it only lasts about 2 hours, after which the tale of 1001 nights is over.

Honestly, I don't know how it can get a 100% rating for longevity - I've reduced that now. It seems that many here have the perfume oil, and maybe that's the reason. The Eau de Parfum, in any case, has vanished in no time.

What a shame, because after the opening it would be a very nice summer scent.

Oh, by the way... the bottle is extremely dangerous, the corners are sharper than some kitchen knives!

I actually bought it not on eBay, but simply in a perfumery in London, it cost 15 pounds in shipping fees, but apparently there's no other way to get the Eau de Parfum (according to my knowledge, it doesn't work through the Arabic shops).

The Old School Friend John
Anecdote:
Recently while shopping. I'm strolling through the aisles. Suddenly I see him. A guy about my age.
In my head, it’s rattling.... Is that John, my old friend from elementary school or? How long has it been, 15...20 years? What wonderful days we had. I gather my courage and speak to him. "John, is that you?" He turns around. Time has changed him. Wrinkles adorn his face and he has lost some of his "freshness." He recognizes me and greets me with a laugh. John Varvatos tells me that he still lives with his wife Artisan and his daughter Pure in the house of his now sadly deceased mother. Unfortunately, all the lemon trees in the garden have died, and only the dry woodpile still stands where we used to press our lemonade. We laugh heartily and say goodbye warmly.
At first, he seemed completely foreign, but after a while, everything was like before and completely familiar.

NOT blind buy safe, the Oud is very prominent and has that slight Moth-ball smell, but smells REALLY great in the air. Great drydown!

Fruity summer oud that's also wearable for die-hard Westerners. The oud hides deep beneath fruit, flower, and green.

Powdered lemons and ROSE GERANIUM on a summery light oud. Soft, unobtrusive yet enveloping. A true compliment magnet.

Oud, an undefinable fruit mix plus a hint of synthetic. Doesn't hit my (scent) nerve.

A fresh-citrusy-woody scent for beginners in oriental fragrances, not a scent bomb but leaning towards the West. Very good longevity, good sillage.

The first 2 minutes I thought, No!
But then it changes and becomes simply beautiful and unlike anything else before. Top!
