Don't Look Back (In Anger) - a phone call
Yes, please? Ah, Mr. Basi, nice to hear from you.
Yes, I received your fragrance and have already tested it.

Don't Look Back, right? - oh, don't worry, Mr. Basi, I will definitely not look back. This generic something you are offering me is far too insignificant for that. No one will turn their head after this.
Why, you ask? Well, just take a look at this perfume. Even the bottle is so boring and unremarkable, the metal cap doesn’t help at all.
What, the label? Please. I haven't seen something so cheaply stuck on in a long time. It gives off an almost amateurish impression.

Yes, yes, the inner values, good that you mention that. Inside it’s really no better than outside, Mr. Basi. You see, it’s basically a nice foundation: fresh, very sweet, light, suitable for parties and clubs. This will surely make the young people happy, but... this fragrance simply offers nothing else. And it is so horribly synthetic, it smells like it was mixed in a flavor laboratory. There’s nothing natural about it! Or in it.
Yes, it’s really true, I’m telling you! And it gets even worse, the synthetics keep increasing over time! Yes, you’re surprised! At least, I want to give your product credit for being a little unpleasantly sour at first, but that goes away later. So at least it improves in ONE aspect.

Longevity? Yes, I bet you’d like that! For the first 2 hours, it’s relatively noticeable to others, then your little scent doesn’t project properly anymore. And after 6½ hours, you can at best still smell it on the skin.
Well, the price is definitely okay for that, you are right.

Are you serious? Whether I will recommend the perfume? God, no! This thing has neither a pretty shell nor a nice core. It’s a truly unnecessary art product that no one needs and no one asked for. It really has no right to exist.
Now please hold back on the harsh words, my dear Mr. Basi, that is really not our level!
Yes, if you like, then just don’t send me any more fragrances. I’ll survive.
Yes, you too. Goodbye.

There's something about it
Without having a particularly developed nose for the individual components of a perfume, I can only refer to how much I like the overall composition (and whether my girlfriend jumps on me directly when I wear the scent)

Both are true in this case.

I can't identify anything other than vanilla here, but since I got a sample of this while in Mallorca last summer, this scent hasn't left my mind.

I then received a 100 ml bottle as a birthday gift from acquaintances, and yes,
the first impression was sobering.
The bottle is not very pretty, the cap is absolutely terrible and falls apart by itself from the first second, and you have to spray at least 5 times to even notice it.

Does it last long? At least on my sweater, I can still smell it 2 days later and I'm immediately happy to slip back into it.

Is it well received? I've certainly received better feedback from my better half on this perfume than on almost any other.

Is it my favorite scent at the moment? It has definitely made it into my top three despite the qualitative shortcomings of the presentation and surprisingly fits well in summer, so also in the cold season.
My interest in vanilla-based scents has been awakened, and I think it definitely deserves a bit more attention.
Especially if you're interested in less common fragrances.

What the hell!?
Since I am a terribly curious person and love to discover, I ordered this fragrance to try at home.
The pyramid sounded quite interesting and the price for 100 ml was initially very moderate.
I paid around 30 euros for it, but the retail price is around 40 euros.

What can I say...
This is a total failure!

The misery began as soon as I opened the bottle.
The cap is of the cheapest quality, so the glued inner cap got stuck on the spray head while the outer cap was in my hand.
The spray head itself is also of very poor quality!

The drama continued when spraying.
I immediately had the following associations in my head:

- Cheapest drugstore freshness
- 0-8-15 in a Bottle
- Synthetic headache inducer
- Chemical accident

...I'll leave it at that.
I initially said that 30-40 euros for 100 ml is a moderate price.
However, after testing, one must clearly deviate from this statement and express that even this amount is far too high for this fragrance.
And I am neither a consistent niche fetishist nor do I have problems with fresh or inexpensive scents, quite the opposite.

Here you only get a highly synthetic mandarin with some coriander and horrible lavender! Later, a bit of moss and cedar, so green influences that only make the mixture slightly better. To put it positively, going from "very bad" to "bad" would still be an understatement.

Gin? Tobacco? Vodka? Vanilla?
I don't know if they were dreaming while creating the pyramid, but none of that can even be guessed at.

This fragrance is among the worst I have tested so far.
"Uniform - Build Yourself | Armand Basi" was also in the package.
I will test this one too...

If someone wears and likes it, I would like to explicitly point out that this is solely my personal opinion.
And if someone really enjoys it, I would be happy to learn the reasons and perspectives behind it.
