A Bright, Cheery Scent to Make you Smile
I love this fragrance! I haven't found a scent quite like this one so of course, I had to add it to my collection.

The first note was very intense! I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. Would I need to scrub this off, or would it morph into something special. Luckily, it was the latter. Do you like rhubarb, raspberry champagne ice cream? I do! But don't get to attached to the rhubarb as it tends to take a backseat to the other notes in the first 30 minutes.

This fragrance reminds me of a bright colorful bird in your kitchen as you clean the room with the window cracked open. The soft spring breeze creating a freshness as you bake a rhubarb and raspberry pie in the oven. In the background the bird's head bobs as you dance to the tune of a retro song on the radio. it's a good day.

This is such a beautiful powdery scent, much likes the wings of a clean, bright bird. This is a solid 8.5/10 for me. Every time I wear it, I can't help but smile.

Pretty birdie.
I must be the right "fit" for Cockatiel and the Zoologist brand in general. They are one of my favorite perfume houses. I also love the smell of rhubarb (Hermes Rhubarb Ecarlate is also a favorite of mine) so trying Cockatiel was a must.

For me (and I am not an expert nose by any means, I just sample what I am interested in and see if I like what I smell) the rhubarb and fruity smell is the main showcase. I do also get the powdery smell, but I don't find it unpleasant combined with the fruit and it tones down the rhubarb sharpness. What I like in this and also other fragrances I have that tend to be favorites is that there are distinct elements that stand out, which to me give it a modern vibe. Comparatively, I tend to dislike fragrances that are heavily "bouquet'd" where there are so many, many elements combined in confusion that the point seems to be lost. Cockatiel takes you on a very specific journey, but you need to like fruits, rhubarb and powder to enjoy it.

PS- I like the old bottle shape better.... :)

I love this !!!!!! So far I’ve sampled most of the Zoologist line and while I agree that most of them are difficult to wear casually, I feel like this one isn’t thaaaaat hard to wear. The opening is a bit harsh but it disappears within less than a minute for me. What I mainly detect from this perfume is smoky sweet raspberry, vanilla, and powder. This powder in here does not come off as makeup powder, thank god!! It leans very feminine to me and very sweet. I love the sweetness and berry nature of this perfume

Since when do birds wear make-up?
This is extremely powdery and sweet with a lot of raspberry and vanilla, but with a weirdly bitter, dusty, musty twist. It smells very much like sweetly scented cosmetics, maybe a cream blush, compact foundation or even carnival make-up for kids, that aren't quite fresh and clean anymore.

The opening is especially strong on the bitter note, which I'm not a fan of. The drydown is more palatable, softer and fluffier. At this point I can also sense the rhubarb, even though this scent isn't as juicy and tart as what I'm used to from rhubarb notes, it has more of a dry fruitiness to it. I also don't get any sparkling champagne, and though there are darker notes in this, I wouldn't link them to patchouli or guaiac wood.

This is definitely a hot pink scent to my nose, mainly due to all the raspberry, but not as girly as the usual designer scents.

No idea what this could have to do with a bird. If this is a cockatiel, it's one on a neon-colored poster from the 80s. At least that's the image in my mind when I think of cockatiels while smelling this.
I find this kind of fun and quirky, but I wouldn't want to smell like it. If you're looking for vanilla, powder and red fruits, this is not exactly a safe blind buy. I kind of understand why some might feel queasy from this, even though it doesn't happen to me.

The image on the bottle is the cutest though!

If you’ve ever owned a bird…this smells like bird food pellets. Fruity in a way that reminds me of the birds cage.

This is such a cheery "bright" scent. You can almost sense the colors of the notes: rhubarb, raspberry, champagne ice cream. Yes, please!

it's kind of spooky how accurately this fragrance recreates a room of stale piss with a bird and flowers in it
