The most realistic maple syrup scent i have ever tried!
Drunk maple caught my eye the second i saw the name of it because i love the taste of maple syrup! I expected it to be very sweet but nothing could prepare me for the scent. It was the most realistic and strongest maple scent my nose had ever felt and i fell in love at the first whiff. I cant really find anything else than maple in this scent but if thats what you like you have found your new scent! Drunk maple is very strong so it lasts around 12 hours on my skin so i would only wear it during the colder seasons or when i want someone to feel my scent. Overall a great scent but it might be a little to sweet for some peoples noses.

Outstanding boozy maple gourmand with spices and resins.
Sampling Borntostandout Drunk Maple, probably the fragrance I’ve seen online most from this house, and the one I was most drawn to try, and it’s really quite aptly named, mixing maple and booze in a rich gourmand that smells refined and classy, a nod to gourmand lovers that’s not overly sweet, and one of the best conceptions of maple that I’ve smelled in fragrance. The main notes are maple, rum, coffee, pink pepper, and benzoin. It has a vaguely metallic vibe that for me coincides with the extreme caramelization of toffee, and it works as a great counterpoint

Like the rest of the line, this is EDP concentration and priced $215 for 50ml, sold via various US retailers like Ministry of Scent and Twisted Lily. It performs well and is personally a fragrance that I enjoy very much, and it makes the pricing palatable.

Fall in Vermont in a Bottle
If each state had its own designated scent, this would be the scent of Vermont. This is a toasted wood that is slightly smoldering. You just put out the fire because the pot where you were reducing down the maple sugar water is done, its maple syrup now. This is the real maple syrup you pay good money for, its a natural sweetness with hint of wood and spice. This is rustic cozy and decadent. Don't worry about the "smoke." Its a bit of spice that adds depth without distracting from the main scent. As if you were smelling a burning leaf pile on the wind. You won't smell like you just left a BBQ.

This is fairly typical BTSO fragrance in that it toes the line of being a "beast mode" fragrance. The projection is pretty strong, you will leave a scent trail behind but it not so strong that you are causing headaches. It also lasted a pretty long time, about 6 hours on my skin. There is only one size available, 50ml for $205. Pricey, but with a fragrance that lasts this long and projects this much, a little goes a long way.

Johnny Depp in a bottle
It’s so dirty delicious! As most of BTSO it’s sticky, dark and lasts so well.

Feels like an organic maple syrup toffee and vanilla liquoriche - it’s one of these eatable scents you wanna bite your skin to have a full experience. So sweet but dangerously deep and masculine in a sweaty way.

It’s boozy rich and smoky in a Johnny Depp way, a bit arrogant but cool buddy. It’s mysterious but honest - you can feel all the mentioned ingredients but on the same time very well blended.

I have already rather similar Kerosene but I wouldn’t mind Santa giving me bottle of Drunk Maple as well ;)

I was close to washing it off..
Drunk Maple is one of the very few fragrances that really challenged me. The opening and generally the first phase of the scent do not suit my taste at all and, as harsh as it sounds, totally put me off and disgusted me. I was really close to washing it off and scrubbing it down.

In my opinion, the fragrance contains three main accords.
These would be rum, suede, and coffee. All three notes are already recognizable at the beginning.

After the first spray, I thought to myself as the scent lingered in the air: "Wow, an iced coffee vibe. An instant iced coffee powder mixed with milk. Nice."
But when I held my nose to the surface of my hand, I thought: "Phew, this is exhausting and quite hard to get used to."
A few moments later, I thought: "Okay, now it’s getting really disgusting."

To better categorize and describe the whole experience, here’s a suggestion for visualization.
Imagine you are in an ancient pub where heavy smoking is allowed. The pub contains many leather sofas, leather armchairs, and chairs.
The leather furniture has absorbed all the cigarette smoke from many years and is deeply ingrained with it. The furniture doesn’t look nice anymore and has ancient coffee stains that were never properly cleaned.
In the pub, there are also people who are always a bit tipsy, first downing some coffee and then the old rum.

These are roughly the associations I get, and personally, it’s just too much for me.
It disgusts me a bit.
I was close to washing the scent off completely, but then I thought: "No Dennis, you can do this, let it dry down further and see how it develops."

Now comes the crazy part.
Over time, it actually gets good.
These "disgusting" vibes completely fade away for me after about 1-2 hours, and a wonderful lightly sweetened coffee scent develops. I now envision a sweetened coffee.
Coffee, maple syrup, and a bit of vanilla. Towards the end, the pleasantly creamy sandalwood joins in.

However, since I struggled quite a bit during the first two hours and was really disgusted, I can't really rate it well. What a shame!
But tastes and impressions of fragrances can be so different.

So definitely don’t let my review and somewhat harsh words deter you.
Test the fragrance for yourself and form your own opinion.

Too sweet, oily and very sticky. A fragrance only for hardcore gourmand fans.

Reminds me of a more airy Whiff of a Wafflecone. I like this a lot and will be using it a lot now that it's getting colder.

Coffee resin extraction, deep wood, Davana just for the head, beech nuts, maple seeds cover hints of sweetness.

Walnut ice cream lies in a bed of coffee. Maple syrup pours over it. Delicious as a dessert - too much as a fragrance.

Significantly more pleasant than the Followed. Milder, sweeter - like an espresso with maple syrup.

KN Caramel Coffee Liqueur gets spicier and smokier, almost ashtray vibes - yuck - then sweet wood in the dry down.

Phew…artificial, spicy-sweet scent, dense-sticky-penetrating, the boozy note can't save it, but it doesn't make it worse either...intense.
