A Last Visit
Beavers and civets have to wander to England, they were invited to a funeral. Yes, dear Costus has been caught in the jungle, so the bush telegraph said it was probably a wild musk animal from the 90s but of unknown origin. Many really showed up, fresh pears and herbs from the 80s and full of fresh roses, so clear and still lying around the oud tree, just as Costus would have wished, for sure. As we stood there in the large crowd, thinking of Costus, the freshly shaven pastor approached us with his incense lamp, enveloping us in smoky mist, and spoke his words. Afterwards, we all said goodbye to each other. Zibi and I were very sad because Costus fit us so well
was a good friend. It was already late and we were staying overnight in a motel where we first went to shower and wash our clothes
I treat myself to a cigarillo and Zibi applies cream before we cuddle closely together and indulge in a bag of gummy bears. I quickly light an oud incense stick before we slowly fall asleep and still spend a little time with Costus.

As always, a voluminous start, everything is there - musk upfront, bright fresh roses, green herbs fizzing in the nose, bark and mulch, dry animal roots, cardboard dusty, a hint of unsweetened pear in the background becomes smoky, dark, resinous oud pushes from behind together with sacred incense, tender floral, creamy and mild, animalistic and sexy, becoming increasingly noble, luxurious soap and fresh appearance, aftershave, rose petals, delicately fruity, refreshing wipes, a hint of tea and a clean hotel room. The oud is always in the background, emerging depending on the mood. The scent hops back and forth somehow but always returns to the pear for me, maybe a carousel.
The charm from the 90s, a hint of 80s herbs, cheeky aldehydes, and a good portion of musk oud, very strong and always present, from coal smoke to the smell of soaked chips, everything crystal clear. Very exquisite and noble, good design, and also not foreign, the scent is all there from chypre to fougère, fruity floral. Zibi has probably been applying cream the whole time while the beaver is more scratching the oud, so I don’t find them individually
The scent is very oily, almost akin to an attar.
I kind of like it, find it already vintage with a bit of 90s, well, you know what I mean ;)
