A Truly Good Wave!
No, I have no intention of surfing on the beaches of Ibiza. Nor anywhere else in Spain.
There may be "Surfer Paradise" found there, but THAT is not what I mean.
This fragrance contains it. And from beginning to end! Its scent notes are arranged so intricately and intertwined that everything within somehow undulates. This starts right from the so-called "top note," where fine roses and fresh, slightly tart berries already "flirt" with the incense and woods, practically "riding waves" with them, sometimes one note on top, then another, seeming to swim sideways to the left and right. The longer the fragrance lingers, the more intense this olfactory "water sport" seems to play out. Meanwhile, "Ibiza Hombre" is anything but an "aquatic," but rather a very lively yet calming wood-incense scent that comes across as relatively "bright." It also possesses a certain floral-fruity zest. To my nose, it’s almost "niche," but certainly a slightly unusual and very interesting scent progression that I have not encountered like this before!
