Angel`s Share meets Raspberry
I had been waiting a long time for Royal Blend Séquoia and was really looking forward to this fragrance. It is supposed to be an alternative to Angels' Share Paradis, which I have not yet been able to test myself. The fragrance description "Angel's Share with raspberry" sounded very appealing to me, however, as I really like raspberries in perfumes. For this reason, I spontaneously decided to make a blind purchase, which I have not regretted.
The fragrance starts with a super nice raspberry note. It doesn't smell like a fresh, slightly tart fruit, but is reminiscent of an intense, sweet raspberry syrup - very full-bodied and fruity.
At the same time, the typical Angel's Share DNA comes to the fore.
Cinnamon, praline and cognac, which have a very gourmand effect in this combination and are reminiscent of baked apple.
A sweet liqueur note is also clearly perceptible.
Despite the alcoholic nuances, I don't find the fragrance too boozy, which I actually like better than Angels' Share Eau de Parfum.
After a while, rose is added, but it is very subtle and remains in the background. Sandalwood is also recognizable and lends the fragrance a warm, woody, minimally spicy and velvety depth.
For me, the raspberry note is in the foreground throughout the fragrance and remains present until the drydown.
In the first hour, the ratio of raspberry to Angel's Share DNA is 60/40, after which it evens out to 50/50.
The longevity is very good. I perceive the fragrance for 8 to 10 hours. The price/performance ratio is also excellent. You get a lot of fragrance for your money here, which stays with you for a long time and has a strong sillage.
Royal Blend Séquoia is a unisex fragrance which, despite its sweetness and fruitiness, is not too feminine and can also be worn very well by men who like sweet fragrances.
To summarize, I really liked the fragrance. This fruity-sweet gourmand is the perfect choice for anyone who likes the DNA of Angel's Share but is looking for a fruity twist with raspberry.
French Avenue has created another really great fragrance with Royal Blend Séquoia. After Royal Blend Vintage and Royal Blend Bourbon, I am delighted to now have the third fragrance in the Royal Blend series in my collection.
