Pinnace Oryn - hits the spot for freshness

If you love Afternoon Swim by Louis Vuitton, you should definitely take a look at Pinnace Oryn - the fragrance really comes amazingly close to the original. This juicy citrus freshness, which immediately puts you in a good mood, has been perfectly captured here. Grapefruit, orange, maybe a hint of bergamot - super sparkling, light, clean. Ideal for hot summer days or simply when you want to start the day with a kick of freshness.

However: as with the big model, the pleasure unfortunately doesn't last too long. The fragrance is not very long-lasting and largely evaporates after two to three hours. So if you want it to last longer, you have to top up or spray it on clothing.

Nevertheless: a really nice summer fragrance for the price, which delivers exactly what you expect - freshness, lightness, vacation feeling.

Conclusion:
Pinnace Oryn is a great summer companion that comes very close to Afternoon Swim. If you can live with its short shelf life, you will get a fresh, invigorating fragrance that will put you in a good mood.

Since I'm currently wearing all three of the fragrances on the back of my wrist and crook of my arm, here's a direct comparison for classification purposes:

For me, Forever Love combines the freshness of bergamot with ripe fruits, whereby the focus is more on the ripe and sweet fruits in my opinion. Afternoon Swim | Louis Vuitton" focuses more on the citrus note, but combines it with a light but definite tea note, which makes the fragrance even more appealing. The Pinnace Oryn has a strong citrus note, particularly in the opening, thanks to the mandarin, bergamot and orange, but is a little closer to the Afternoon Swim in the drydown.

In summary, the three canidates share a similar DNA, but with different characteristics. While the Forever Love focuses on sweet, ripe fruit, the Afternoon Swim has a tea note. The Pinnace Oryn is much more citrusy but absolutely worth it for the price.

Summer, sun, orange party

As the previous speaker said, the Pinnace Oryn is a dupe of the Afternoon Swim. I have already tested other imitators such as the IV Quatre or Pisa. None do it as well, as fragrant and natural as Pinnace Oryn.

Orange, mandarin like freshly squeezed. Juicy and tasty, with a ginger shot that adds depth as it develops. Everything is really so well done that I wouldn't even think of throwing my money down the throat of Vuitton Luis.

The Pinnace Oryn is fun and lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin before I need to spray it on again. It lasts much longer on clothes. But for the price of around €45, that shouldn't matter. Because you can't get such a well-made LV clone for less.

Chapeau French Avenue.

As you can read in my review of Pinnace, I like the bottle. Something different.

Would buy the Oryn again at any time.

One of the best dupes I've ever smelled

I didn't think much of it when I ordered this fragrance, as I had tested Afternoon Swim and found this tangy orange-tangerine note to smell incredibly good and perfect for the summer, but wasn't prepared to fork out almost €300 due to the miserable durability of only about an hour on the skin. Then I came across this fragrance online for around €50 and just thought to myself: you can take a chance, it really is a bargain compared to €290.

Then it arrived and I sprayed it directly onto my skin, prepared to perceive rather pungent synthetic notes at the beginning, as I experienced with Armaf Club de Nuit Edt, for example, which as a dupe of Creed Aventus started very synthetically and with a pungent citric and then only later developed very close to the fragrance DNA of Creed Aventus, but here it turned out completely differently
Right from the start, I could sense this very authentic and sparkling orange note with the mix of mandarin peel that Afternoon Swim also has in the opening. The course of the fragrance also remained really constant and very close to the original. When spraying the fragrance, I immediately had the association of being by the pool on a hot summer's day, which I also had with Afternoon Swim. I see the similarity at around 95%, which is really insanely good.

My only criticism is the design of the bottle. As it is very elongated, it doesn't really sit comfortably in the hand when you spray it on. In addition, the shape of the bottle reminds me more of an iron, but these are only small, rather unimportant points, as the fragrance is simply a brutally good dupe to Afternoon Swim for a sixth of the price and should be tested by anyone who loves the DNA of Afternoon Swim but is hesitant to buy it due to its poor durability and high price.
